Petrobras Receives Proposal from Ouro Preto to Sell Two Fields in the Campos Basin. Enchova and Pampo Fields Received the Best Proposals.
Ouro Preto Oil and Gas (owned by Rodolfo Landim) has submitted the best proposal for the acquisition of the two fields in the Campos Basin (Enchova and Pampo). However, to date, no exclusivity agreement has been finalized; only the invitation to participate in the contract negotiation phase has been confirmed. Ouro Negro, in a statement, highlights that there is no decision regarding the final conditions and terms concerning the divestment process.
Ouro Preto
Ouro Preto Oil and Gas is a Brazilian company established in 2010 with the mission of being an integrated energy company, focusing on oil and natural gas exploration and production activities. With a highly qualified team made up of geologists, geophysicists, and engineers, the company aims to identify exploratory opportunities in the blocks auctioned by ANP – National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels. Concurrently, Ouro Preto is also assessing the possibility of acquiring assets through farm-in operations (partial or total acquisitions of concession rights held by a company).

Fields for Sale
In 2017, the state-owned Petrobras put up for sale areas in the Campos, Potiguar, Santos, and Ceará basins, totaling 30 fields. Aiming to reach up to US$ 21 billion, these sales are part of the company’s divestment and partnership program. Comprising ten fields together, Pampo and Enchova include some that do not produce. It is worth noting that both have an integrated system, and these sales represent opportunities for Petrobras in terms of revitalization, including the recovery of wells and exploration of reservoirs that have yet to be developed.
Pampo Field
Including the fields of Trilha, Badejo, Linguado, and Pampo, the field is almost entirely idled. In a way, only Pampo manages to produce approximately (on average) 9.3 barrels per day. This mark is just for this year. On the other hand, 13 barrels per day are recorded in Linguado. A reservoir referred to by Petrobras as Siri could, according to the state-owned company, boost production in the Badejo field. New wells may be connected in Linguado, Pampo, and Trilha.
Enchova Field
Two years ago, in 2016, the Enchova Field had production of almost double the production of 16.8 thousand barrels per day in 2018 (up to the fifth month of the year). This field includes the fields of Piraúna, Enchova Oeste, Bonito, Bicudo, Enchova, and Marimbá. In this field, Marimbá is recognized as the main asset, producing 13.6 thousand barrels per day. Production interruptions occurred in Piraúna and Bicudo.
