Petrobras will acquire more than 540 kilometers of submarine umbilicals in this event

To proceed with its pre-salt infrastructure and investment projects, Petrobras recently started a new tender to obtain 545 kilometers of underwater flexible pipelines (umbilicals), with more than half under national local content.

The development of the event will take place in two stages:

• 1 lot – There will be 300,5 kilometers of cables, including equipment and logistical services
• 2 lot – Up to 244,9 kilometers will be obtained by the state-owned company, within the specifications of assembly, supervision, installation, storage, rental of coils, among others within the contract portfolio.

According to the resolution of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), the local content for this tender will be 55%. Find out how the Certification System Local Content here. Offers will be captured by Petrobras and ANP from October 13th to 20th.

This auction is very similar to a recent one intended for projects in Itapu and Marlim, with 566 kilometers of flexible cables at a cost of 1,24 billion dollars.

Today, Petrobras has guaranteed participation of the companies Prysmian, MfX do Brasil and Oceannering in this tender, as they already provide services in other projects of the state-owned company so far.
