Drillship Evaluations
The Norwegian platform brokerage, Bassoe Analytics, from Bassoe Offshore, evaluates the platform at around 105 to 116 million.
Another evaluation site, VesselsValue, priced Petrobras’ equipment at around US $ 174.83 million. These values are well below its peak market value of US $ 683 million in 2011.
The drillship is currently anchored near the Badejo field in the Campos Basin and is undergoing maintenance activities.
According to market experts, if Petrobras puts forth a charter contract for the “Vitória 10.000”, the demand from buyers and the offered values are expected to see a considerable increase.
According to Petrobras, the drillship is available for visits from those interested in participating in the auction, which is scheduled for September 18, 2019.
The visitation period runs from July 24, 2019, to five business days before the auction date.
