The Bajaj Freedom 125 2024 was officially launched in India on July 5. According to the company, the model is not only the first in the world to use CNG as fuel but also offers an impressive range of 330 km.
This economy is achieved thanks to a single-cylinder engine that delivers 9.5 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 9.7 nm of torque at 5,000 rpm, running on both natural gas and gasoline.
Prices in India start at 95,000 rupees (approximately R$ 6,200) for the entry-level version, equipped with drum brakes.

Bajaj Freedom 125: Economy and Technology
The estimated range of 330 km is one of the major attractions of the Bajaj Freedom 125 2024. The motorcycle comes equipped with a 2 kg cylinder for gas (12.5 liters) and a 2-liter tank for gasoline.
The transition between fuels is simple and can be done at the push of a button, similar to CNG vehicles in Brazil. According to the company, natural gas allows for a range of 200 km, while gasoline provides an additional 130 km, totaling 330 km.
The top speed of the Freedom 125 is 90.5 km/h on natural gas and 93.4 km/h on gasoline. According to Bajaj, the motorcycle was designed to be simple and accessible, with 17-inch alloy wheels in the front and 16 inches in the rear, combined brakes (CBS) with an option of drum on both wheels or a 340 mm disc in the front, and a wide seat with a height of 825 mm.
Design and Comfort
The Bajaj Freedom 125 2024 does not compromise on comfort and technology, offering an LED headlight in the mid-range and top versions, front suspensions with telescopic forks and a monoshock system at the rear, and a digital dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity.
Expansion in Brazil
As recently published by CPG, Bajaj will manufacture its first motorcycle factory outside of India in Brazil. This manufacturing unit will be located in Manaus, Amazonas, and is expected to start operating in the second half of 2024, with an initial production capacity of 20,000 bikes per year.
According to Bajaj, this strategic move aims to consolidate its global presence and take advantage of the competitive Brazilian market. Since its arrival in Brazil at the end of 2022, Bajaj has already acquired around 2,000 customers, a significant number for a newly arrived brand.
According to the company, the opening of its own factory will enable optimized production, cost reduction, and more competitive pricing.
Will Bajaj Bring Gas Motorcycle to Brazil?
The main question at the moment is: Will Bajaj Freedom 125 Come to Brazil? According to information, the motorcycle can already be ordered in India. However, unfortunately, at least for now, the Freedom 125 is not expected to be available in Brazil.
This happens because, in an interview with MotoMotor, Waldyr Ferreira, the brand’s general director in Brazil, stated that the gas motorcycle is not a priority for Bajaj Brazil at this time.
