Alcance Prep Helps Black and Indigenous People Study at the World’s Top Universities! Enroll and Take Free Graduate Courses.

A partnership between the Four Institute and the Lemann Foundation opened applications for Alcance Prep 2025-2026, a program that assists Black, mixed-race, and Indigenous individuals in enrolling in free graduate courses at some of the world’s most prestigious universities, such as Harvard, MIT, and Oxford.

The selected candidates will receive two years of comprehensive support for free graduate courses, including virtual and personalized guidance. The Alcance Prep aims to prepare its candidates to compete at top universities and promote racial and economic equity, empowering them to become leaders who can transform their communities upon returning to Brazil.

How Does the Selection Process Work?

The selection for the free graduate courses of Alcance Prep consists of three eliminatory stages, designed to understand each candidate’s profile and align goals.

In the first stage, applicants will need to submit a video of up to two minutes. In it, they should share their personal journey, their reasons for studying abroad, and how the program can support them.

Those approved in this phase will move on to a 30-minute online interview with the Four Institute team. At this point, a deeper analysis takes place, evaluating the information presented and the compatibility between the candidate and the program’s values.

Finally, in the third phase, finalists participate in a longer conversation, lasting about an hour, where they examine their life perspectives and outline steps for preparation.

Prestigious Universities Enhanced by the Program

The Alcance Prep guides participants in their application to prominent universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, and Singapore. The institutions include:

United States: Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Caltech, Chicago, Berkeley, UCLA, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, and Johns Hopkins.
United Kingdom: Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, and UCL.
Canada: University of Toronto.
Switzerland: ETH Zurich.
Singapore: National University of Singapore.

With this extensive support network, the program opens doors for participants to achieve excellence in education in various parts of the world.
