BR Distribuidora Participates in National Launch of Self-Service Network; The Partnership with Clique Retire Will Feature 400 Smart Terminals at Petrobras Stations

After signing the partnership just over two months ago, Petrobras Distribuidora and Clique Retire are launching the national project this Monday, November 11, from 9:30 AM to 12 PM, at the SulAmérica Convention Center, Downtown – Rio de Janeiro. The state-owned oil company announced yesterday the sale to Liquigás for 3.7 billion reais.

The installation of the self-service e-commerce network at BR Mania stores will begin in the Rio-São Paulo axis, with plans to expand to other states.

The initial projection is that, in the next two years, Rio and São Paulo will gain 400 smart self-service terminals for e-commerce order delivery at BR service stations, following the model already implemented in Metrô Rio (Invepar Group).

According to BR’s Retail Business Manager, Leonardo Burgos, the goal is to reach 1,600 terminals in the network within five years. “We currently have 7,800 Petrobras stations throughout Brazil, with more than 1,200 BR Mania convenience stores.

The implementation of the self-service terminals means another benefit for our customers who have shown a positive response to the initiative,” Burgos states, adding that the action will also attract new consumers who face difficulties receiving deliveries of goods purchased online.

Clique Retire expects a base of 10,000 active terminals in the country. The lockers will be installed in strategic locations in major urban centers with a high flow of people, creating a structure for sending, picking up, and returning products.

The terminal offers an alternative address for consumers, eliminating delivery difficulties due to not being at home, lacking doormen, or having access restrictions to postal services.

BR Distribuidora is the leader in the Brazilian fuel and lubricants distribution market, with over 7,800 service stations under its brand, also operating convenience franchises BR Mania and Lubrax+. In the B2B market, its portfolio includes approximately 14,000 large clients in segments such as aviation, asphalts, transportation, chemicals, supply house, and energy.

Clique Retire is a Brazilian company, associated with Pakpobox from Hong Kong, China, one of the largest operators of smart terminals in the world, with over 2,000 terminals in operation in 14 countries. Together, the two partners are implementing a technologically innovative and socially inclusive solution in line with global trends in the transformation of “Smart Cities.”

The self-service terminal network for e-commerce gives citizenship to new consumers, optimizes urban traffic, and reduces pollution with greenhouse gas emissions.
