Dutch terminal operating company APM Terminals has partnered with Brasco, a Wilson Sons Group company to establish a logistics base in Brazil to support Premier Oil's offshore drilling operations in Block 717.
To establish a temporary logistics base in the Industrial and Port Complex of Pecém – Ceará, Brasco, a company of the Wilson Sons Group, partnered with APM Terminals Pecém, according to the companies' update last Monday (20).

Brasco signed a contract with Premier Oil to provide logistical support to your drilling operations in the Ceará Basin in early January 2020. It will be the first offshore port support operation in Ceará, Brazil, according to APM.
Scheduled to start in the first half of 2020, the logistics base will support the drilling of a well in the CE-M-717 block, located in the Ceará Basin and operated by Premier Oil.

Among the services to be provided are: receiving and storing cargo, supplying water and other consumables for the offshore platform, in addition to waste management and tank cleaning.
Premier Oil has recently commissioned a drillship of Valaris owned DS-9 to drill stacked Berimbau/Maraca prospects on its Block 717 operated in the Ceará Basin in Brazil. The well is scheduled to blow in the third quarter and is targeting a risk-free resource of 300 mmbbls.
Premier received its stake in Block CE-M-717 in the 11th Brazilian Bidding Round in 2013. The company has a 50% operating stake in the block.
