IF Sudeste de Minas Gerais Is Offering 750 Spots in Completely Free Courses Across Seven Cities in the State. Check How to Apply!
The Federal Institute of South-East Minas Gerais (IF Sudeste MG) is changing the educational landscape with the opening of 750 spots in technical, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses, in-person and online. Registration is available, according to G1, until May 7, offering opportunities in seven cities in Minas Gerais: Barbacena, Bom Sucesso, Juiz de Fora, Manhuaçu, Rio Pomba, Santos Dumont, and São João del-Rei.
This selection process for IF Sudeste MG follows the new Quota Law (Law 14.273 of 2023), reserving 50% of the spots for candidates who do not score high enough for admission through open competition slots. The selection considers factors such as studying in public institutions, family income, self-declared ethnic-racial identity, and being a person with a disability.
Selection and Admission to IF in Minas Gerais
The concurrent and/or subsequent technical courses offered by IFs in Minas Gerais will have their classes formed by a lottery, scheduled for June 20. Candidates for undergraduate courses will take a test on June 9, consisting of 45 objective questions and one essay. Registration and Application Fees for IF Courses in Minas Gerais
To register for the IF courses in Minas Gerais, interested parties must access the system using their gov.br account and complete the registration CLICKING HERE. If they do not have an account, one must be created. The registration for technical courses is free, while for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, there is a R$ 50.00 fee. Payment can be made until May 8 at branches and bank correspondents of Banco do Brasil.
Candidates who completed their entire high school education in public institutions, were full scholarship students in private schools or philanthropic entities, as well as those who finished High School based on the results of Encceja or state education exams, can apply for a fee exemption. The request must be made during the registration period, by April 8.
