Oil and Gas Company intends to invest R$ 1 million in sponsorship of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra. Partnership will allow inclusion and social protagonism for children and adolescents from communities in Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro, September 6, 2022 – PRIO, the largest independent oil and gas company in Brazil and a pioneer in the reconstruction and extension of the useful life of mature oil fields, will invest 1 million reais through a federal law to encourage the culture in partnership with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra (OSB). In addition to the activities of the OSB's social and educational inclusion program, the Musical Connections program includes support for some shows during the artistic season
The proposed partnership between the oil and gas company, PRIO and the OSB aims at a Rio de Janeiro with less inequality and more sustainable, collective, balanced and aware. In addition to culture, the actions that will be promoted by the Orchestra, sponsored by the oil company, are also related to education and environmental conservation.

The oil and gas company's partnership initiative will last for one year
The partnership made by the Oil and Gas company will last for one year, until August 2023. The project directed by OSB will help three centers of music education in the city of Rio de Janeiro, impacting the communities of Guaratiba, Cidade de Deus, Marambaia and Penha, with instrument lessons, such as violin, cello, clarinet, double bass and flute. By the way, there will be presentations of free classes and more activities with music connections. In all, they will have 400 class hours. Indirectly, it is estimated that the Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira social project sponsored by PRIO will benefit 42 residents of these communities.
