Inscriptions Start in March 2025 and Benefit Educators from Public and Private Networks with Training Focused on Inclusion.

The Ministry of Education (MEC) announced a historic initiative: the offer of 250,000 spots for a free and 100% online course in inclusive education. 

Targeted at basic education teachers from both public and private networks, the course aims to train educators to create more welcoming environments that are adapted to the needs of all students.

The inscriptions start in March 2025, and the program will be conducted in partnership with renowned Brazilian universities, ensuring quality and wide access. This is a unique opportunity for teachers to update themselves on an essential topic for the future of education.

Inclusive Education: What the Course Offers?

The free inclusive education course from MEC has been designed to empower teachers to implement pedagogical practices that respect the individuality of students, especially those with special needs.

With the significant increase in students with disabilities in Brazilian schools, MEC recognized the urgency of preparing educators to handle diversity. 

The course content covers pedagogical techniques, adaptation of teaching materials, collaborative teaching strategies, and much more.

The 250,000 spots are divided among different institutions and content that promises to transform everyday classroom experiences. Check out some of the main topics:

How the MEC Selection Process Works

The program will be conducted in partnership with reference universities, such as the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG), and State University of Maringá (UEM). 

Each institution will have its own selection process, with specific details for registration and participation.

  • UFBA: Registrations open until November 15, 2025.
  • UEPG and UEM: Registrations open until November 21, 2025.

Those interested should visit the institutions’ websites to check the complete announcement, fill out the registration form, and submit the requested documents.
