Caixa Econômica Federal Is Accepting Applications for Its Young Apprentice Program. There Are Opportunities for Young People Aged 15 to 17 Looking for Their First Job.

Young people dreaming of their first job in a large institution now have a great opportunity. Legislation ensures that large companies provide 5% to 15% of their vacancies for hiring employees for the Young Apprentice Program. According to the apprenticeship law, these candidates do not need work experience and can balance school with work. Thus, Caixa Econômica Federal has announced that applications are open for its selection process for the Young Apprentice program, which seeks young people aged 15 to 17.

Requirements to Become a Young Apprentice at Caixa Econômica Federal

By law, those aged between 14 and 24 are eligible to be a young apprentice. However, it is up to the company to determine the necessary prerequisites for hiring the professional.

For the Young Apprentice program at Caixa Econômica Federal, it is necessary to meet requirements such as:

  • Having a minimum education level of 9th grade of elementary school or equivalent in Youth and Adult Education (EJA);
  • Being aged between 15 and 17 years and having a family income of up to half a minimum wage per capita.

To secure an opportunity at Caixa Econômica Federal, it is necessary to go through a selection process, where candidates are ranked based on their performance. In the case of the apprenticeship program, this is not required, as the selection process occurs through learning entities that are partners of the bank; these institutions select candidates based on their resumes.

Complying with the Apprenticeship law, when the Bank opens positions for Young Apprentices, it guarantees this audience an opportunity to secure their first job. Thus, it is entirely the employer’s responsibility to provide all the necessary support for the young person to successfully carry out their tasks. Those who stand out may be hired permanently by the company.

Learn How to Compete for Young Apprentice Opportunities at Caixa Econômica Federal

The Young Apprentice will be registered with Caixa Econômica Federal, which means they will work with a signed contract governed by the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT). Therefore, they will receive benefits such as a remuneration of R$ 954 per month for the full apprenticeship period, transportation allowance, food assistance, FGTS with a 2% contribution, and vacation.

The Young Apprentice contract may not exceed two years, meaning once hired, the young person will have this period to operate within the apprenticeship rules. If successful within the bank, they may be admitted in a new position with new responsibilities. Interested individuals should seek the bank’s partner entities to inquire about vacancies and the application process for the Young Apprentice program.

The resume registration can be done online or in-person, depending on the institution in question. To know the application locations depending on your state, it is necessary to consult the Caixa’s partner entities portal, select the state, and the system will inform which institutions are available for application while allowing you to select the desired institution to fill out your resume.

About Caixa

Caixa was founded in 1861 when Dom Pedro II signed Decree No. 2.723, and since then, it has walked side by side with the country’s history, accompanying its expansion and that of its population.

The Bank has always been present in all the major transformations of national history, such as changes in political regimes, urbanization, and industrialization processes, supporting and assisting the country.

With its accumulated experience, it launched, in 1931, loan operations with payroll deduction for individuals. Three years later, by federal government decree, it assumed the exclusivity of pawn loans, which abolished pawn shops operated by private individuals.
