Partnership between UFRN and UERN trains thousands of teachers
The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN) have joined forces to offer 10 places on an extension course focused on inclusive education.
This initiative seeks to train Basic Education educators to deal with the challenges of inclusive teaching in regular classrooms and in Specialized Educational Services (AEE).
According to the notice published in October 2024, the course will be taught remotely, which guarantees flexibility for participants.
Furthermore, the training is completely free, expanding access for interested professionals.
What will the course be like?
A complete training to meet the demands of inclusive education
With a workload of 120 hours and lasting three months, the course will be held between March and May 2025.
The training will be divided into four modules, addressing strategies to include students with different needs in the school environment.
Classes will take place in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA) of the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), using the Labtime platform.
Synchronous and asynchronous activities are planned, ensuring a dynamic experience adapted to the teachers' routine.
Who can participate?
Eligibility criteria for candidates
The course is exclusively intended for Basic Education teachers who work in the state, municipal or federal public school system of Rio Grande do Norte. Interested parties must meet the following requirements:
- Work in a regular classroom or in Specialized Educational Services (AEE);
- Have access to the internet and a computer, or availability to use an in-person support center at the Universidade Aberta do Brasil (UAB).
