State students in Blumenau have a unique opportunity to start their technical training while still in high school: Senai, in partnership with the State Department of Education, has launched a series of free technical courses. These courses aim not only at the qualification of young people but also at facilitating their entry into the job market immediately after completing their studies. With provisions for meals and transportation, the initiative seeks to support and encourage first-year high school students to pursue a path of technical qualification early on.
Enrollment is already open for five free technical courses, offered during the day. This project is part of the Catarinense Technical Program (CaTec), created to expand the availability of technical education in the state, which has already seen a significant increase in the number of enrolled students, rising from 12,000 to 30,000 this year. The program aims for the technical and professional training of students, preparing them for better insertion into the job market.

How the Selection Process Works
Those interested in participating in the free technical courses must pre-register through the official Senai website. After this stage, the guardians of the students will be invited for a meeting at Senai, where they will receive all information about the program, the courses offered, and the enrollment procedure.
To ensure that spots are filled fairly, an online lottery will be held on November 12 at 10 a.m., if the number of pre-enrolled students exceeds the total number of spots available for each course. This way, all registered students will have the chance to secure their spot, provided they follow the registration instructions and keep track of the lottery.
Where to Register
Registration for the free technical courses can be done directly on the official Senai Blumenau website. There, students and their guardians will find a pre-registration form and complete information about the selection process. It is essential that registration is done within the timeframe and that interested parties monitor official communications to ensure participation in the orientation meeting.
