Faetec and Le Cordon Bleu Offer 44 Full Scholarships for Culinary Course in Rio de Janeiro. Applications Open Until November 10.

A unique opportunity for young people passionate about gastronomy is on the table! The Foundation for Technical School Support (Faetec), in partnership with the renowned Le Cordon Bleu Institute, is offering 44 full scholarships for the Cordontec Vocational Education Course. Applications are already open and will be accepted until November 10.

The initiative, which aims to democratize access to quality education in the culinary field, is yet another proof of Faetec’s commitment to providing opportunities for young people in Rio de Janeiro.

Classes will be held at Le Cordon Bleu’s headquarters in Botafogo, one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world.

Who Can Participate in the Selection Process?

To participate in the selection process, it is necessary to have completed high school, be over 18 years old, and have a family income of up to four minimum wages.

The Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation, Anderson Moraes, highlighted the importance of the course for the development of the State of Rio de Janeiro.

“Le Cordon Bleu’s course creates a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the entire State of Rio, as well as making the dream of many students who otherwise would not be able to afford this course come true, and now through the Faetec Network, they can study at one of the most renowned culinary schools in the world,” he stated.

Faetec’s president, Caroline Alves, also celebrated the partnership.

“It’s very rewarding to see our Faetec Network students entering the vocational course taught by the renowned French culinary school Le Cordon Bleu. The students will acquire knowledge and skills that will certainly make a big difference when seeking a job opportunity in the culinary field,” she detailed.

How to Participate and Compete for Scholarships?

The selection process will consist of two stages: an objective test in Mathematics and Portuguese, and a practical evaluation with a video presentation and in-person interview.

The objective test will take place on December 15, and the second stage will occur between January and February 2025.

The results will be announced in March 2025.

A New Life in the Kitchen

Classes will be held full-time, from Monday to Friday, from 1 PM to 5 PM.

Students will have the opportunity to learn classic and contemporary culinary techniques, as well as develop skills such as organization, creativity, and teamwork.

At the end of the course, students will be prepared to enter the job market as chefs, cooks, culinary consultants, among other professions.
