Discover How Free Libras and Spanish Courses from IFB Can Transform Your Career, Expand Knowledge, and Open New Opportunities in the Job Market. A Unique Opportunity to Learn Quality in a Recognized Federal Institution.

The Brazilian Institute of Federal Education (IFB) – Estrutural Campus announced the opening of registrations for free professional qualification courses in Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) and Spanish, aimed at the second semester of 2025.

This is an initiative that seeks to broaden access to knowledge, strengthen inclusion, and provide new opportunities in the job market.

The courses offered are part of the Initial and Continuing Education program (FIC), recognized for its effectiveness in the rapid training of professionals.

In addition to ensuring access to highly relevant social content, IFB provides free spots for interested individuals of different profiles, including public servants and the general community.

The Libras – Basic Module course stands out for its focus on inclusive communication and the development of essential skills for those who wish to work in educational, health, or public service environments.

The Basic Spanish I (A1) course represents an entry point for those who wish to learn a new language, broaden cultural horizons, and increase employability.

Free Libras Course: Workload, Seats, and Audience

The workload for the Libras course is 200 hours, with in-person classes in the afternoon, on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 1:50 PM to 4:40 PM.

There will be 40 spots available for this training, with 30 designated for open competition and 10 reserved for employees of the Federal District State Education Secretariat (SEEDF), according to the cooperation agreement established between the institutions.

In the case of the Spanish course, the workload is 80 hours, with evening meetings, also on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 6:40 PM to 8:20 PM, totaling 40 spots for open competition.

Free Libras and Spanish Training: Democratization of Access

IFB’s proposal is to democratize access to quality education, at no cost to the student, allowing the expansion of knowledge in strategic areas.

According to announcement no. 17/2025, published in July, classes are expected to start on September 19, 2025.

The selection of participants will be conducted through an electronic lottery, ensuring transparency and equal opportunities in the selection process.

Who Can Participate in IFB’s Free Courses

To compete for a spot, interested individuals must have completed elementary school.

In the case of the Spanish course, the minimum age required is 16 years, while for the Libras course, it is necessary to be at least 15 years old.

Each candidate may enroll in only one of the courses available at this stage.

According to the Brazilian Institute of Federal Education, these criteria aim to ensure the best fit for students to the profile of the courses offered.

Libras Qualification: A Market Differential and Inclusion

Libras qualification, besides meeting national accessibility legislation, represents an important differential for professionals in various fields.

Mastering Brazilian Sign Language enables communication with deaf individuals, expands service reach, and contributes to more inclusive environments.

In sectors such as education, health, public administration, and private companies, fluency in Libras is increasingly valued, as emphasized by experts and representative entities.

Free Spanish: Professional and Cultural Opportunities

In the context of the Spanish course, learning the language opens doors to new cultural and professional experiences, especially in a globalized context where the mastery of other languages is a determining factor for career success.

According to data from the Ministry of Education and market research, knowledge of foreign languages is one of the most sought-after requirements in selection processes and international opportunities.

Structure of IFB’s Free Courses and Certificates

The structure of IFB’s courses has been designed to meet the demand of those seeking training without compromising other activities.

The in-person format provides direct interaction with teachers and peers, favoring the development of practical skills and professional networking.

Approved students will receive a certificate of completion issued by the Brazilian Institute of Federal Education, granting credibility and recognition to their resume.

Accessibility and Inclusion in the Registration Process

Another highlight is the accessibility provided by IFB during the registration period.

For those without access to the internet at home, Estrutural Campus offers computers and support for online registration, from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 1 PM to 5 PM.

This measure increases the chances of participation for candidates in vulnerable situations or with technological difficulties, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to inclusion.

Selection Process: Electronic Lottery and Enrollment

The stages of the selection process are clear and objective.

After the public lottery, which will take place on August 4, 2025, at 2 PM, in the campus auditorium, the list of selected candidates will be released.

Approved candidates in the first call must register in person according to the guidelines of the announcement.

Those not selected on the first list may express their interest in participating in the waiting list, increasing their chances of securing a spot.

How to Enroll in IFB’s Free Courses

Those interested in securing a free Libras or Spanish formation should be attentive to the deadlines.

The registration period occurs exclusively online, from July 17 to 24, 2025, until 11:59 PM.

To participate, simply access the official IFB selection process portal, fill out the registration form, and attach the documents required by the announcement.

This could be the ideal opportunity to invest in your career, broaden horizons, and secure new spaces in the job market.

And you, which of these formations do you believe could boost your professional future: mastery of Libras or learning Spanish?
