Third Batch of Refund Is Paid Today by the Federal Revenue; See How to Check and Who Has Priority
The Federal Revenue releases this Wednesday, July 31, the payment of the third batch of the Income Tax Refund 2025. The amount will be automatically deposited into the bank account indicated by the taxpayer or via Pix, if this option has been chosen. Those who submitted the declaration correctly and meet the priority criteria may receive it today.
The consultation is already available on the official website of the Federal Revenue, and it is important to monitor the status to check for any pending issues that may prevent the deposit. The calendar continues with two more payments in August and September, concluding the refund cycle for the 2024 base year.
How the Income Tax Refund Calendar Works

The refund payment is divided into five batches. In 2025, the releases follow this schedule:
-
Brazilian city bets on the business environment to generate jobs and attract investments in the energy sector — secretary reveals strategy at Macaé Energy 2026.
-
50 viaducts, 4 tunnels, 28 bridges, and 40 kilometers of bike paths: BR-262 in Espírito Santo will receive 8.6 billion reais for the largest engineering project in the state’s history, inspired by the Immigrant Highway in São Paulo.
-
Brazil produces too much clean energy and doesn’t know what to do with it: over 20% of solar and wind capacity was wasted in 2025 while investors flee and 509 renewable generation projects were abandoned in the last year.
-
Piauí will produce a new fuel that replaces diesel without needing to change anything in the truck’s engine and reduces pollutant gas emissions by half: truck drivers from all over the Northeast are already celebrating the news that will arrive later this decade.
- 1st batch: May 30
- 2nd batch: June 30
- 3rd batch: July 31 (today)
- 4th batch: August 29
- 5th batch: September 30
Those who have not yet received can monitor the release in the coming months. After the end of the main calendar, the Federal Revenue also conducts residual batches for those who corrected issues after submission.
Who Has Priority in the Income Tax Refund

The payment order follows legal criteria established by the National Tax Code. The following have priority:
- Elders aged 80 or older
- Individuals over 60 years old
- Taxpayers with physical, mental disabilities or serious illnesses
- Education professionals
- Those who chose the pre-filled declaration with receipt via Pix
If there is a tie, the decisive factor is the date of submission of the declaration: the earlier the submission, the greater the chance of receiving in the first batches.
How to Check the Income Tax Refund
The process is simple and can be done in a few minutes:
- Access the website gov.br/receitafederal
- Click on “My Income Tax”
- Enter your CPF and base year (2024)
- Check the status of the refund
- If released, check the bank statement on the payment date
If the amount is not credited, the taxpayer should check if the bank details are correct and, if necessary, contact the bank or the Federal Revenue.
What to Do in Case of Pending Issues in the Declaration
If the refund is not paid in the expected batch, there may be some inconsistency in the declaration. The recommendation is to access the e-CAC portal of the Federal Revenue and check if the declaration has fallen into the fine mesh.
It is possible to rectify the data and wait for inclusion in residual batches. Updating bank information and monitoring the process frequently are essential actions to not lose the refund.
Are you among those included in the third batch? Do you think the calendar is fair, or should there be more transparency in the process? Please leave your feedback in the comments — we want to hear from those experiencing this firsthand.
