The Federal Institute recently released the Notice 45/2024, for the Extension and Preparatory Course for Public Exams 2024. Interested members of the internal IFRO community and those from the external community in vulnerable situations can apply!
Preparatory Course for Public Exams Offered by the Federal Institute
In addition to forming a reserve list, the Federal Institute offers 70 spots for the Preparatory Course for Public Exams, ensuring that interested individuals are prepared to face various types of exams. Classes are in-person and take place from Tuesday to Friday at the Porto Velho Campus.

The Preparatory Course for Public Exams has a total workload of 360 hours, divided into 10 subjects with 36 hours each, covering the following content:
- History and Geography of Rondônia: Colonization and occupation, local economy, socio-environmental issues.
- Basic Notions of Administrative Law: Administrative structure, administrative acts, bidding and contracts.
- Basic Notions of Constitutional Law: Fundamental principles, rights and guarantees, political-administrative organization.
- Basic Notions of Civil Law: Rules of Law, natural and legal persons, assets and legal acts.
- Basic Notions of Civil Procedure Law: Jurisdiction, parties in the process, procedural acts and procedures.
- Basic Notions of Criminal Law: Principles of criminal law, classification of crimes and constitutional provisions.
- Basic Notions of Criminal Procedure Law: Police investigation, criminal action and procedural acts.
- Mathematics: Sets, algebra, geometry, financial mathematics and logical reasoning.
- Computer Science: Hardware and software, operating systems, MS Office and the internet.
- Portuguese Language/Essay Writing for Exams: Text structure, text interpretation, grammar, spelling, and linguistic variation.
Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be based on the order in which applications are received, considering both the date and time of form submission.
The results of the applications and the list of candidates will be published on the official IFRO website, on the page corresponding to the Porto Velho Campus. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of offered spots, additional candidates will be placed on a waiting list, which will be activated to fill vacancies in case of withdrawals.
