The Foundation for Research and Innovation of Espírito Santo (Fapes) has opened applications for its Human Resource Training Program in Graduate Studies (Procap), which offers 300 scholarships for 2025. This means that, unfortunately, students and advisors cannot apply directly.

The submission of proposals must be done by the lead coordinator of the PPG, who will forward the institution’s application by November 18. The process is carried out through the official Fapes website at www.sigfapes.es.gov.br. So, if you are connected to one of these programs, keep an eye on the deadline!
How Much Will The Scholars Receive?
Now comes the good part: what will the value of the scholarship be? For those selected for a master’s scholarship, the monthly amount will be R$ 2,900 for 24 months. Meanwhile, doctorate students will receive even more robust financial support, receiving R$ 4,050 per month for 48 months.
In addition to the amount, scholars will have the chance to develop scientific, technological, and innovation research projects, which opens many doors in the job market and academia.
