The course will focus on comprehension and production (oral and written), covering the following topics: personal information and interests, information about family members, study and work routine, place descriptions; using the verb to be; auxiliaries do and does; w/h questions; verbs there is and there are; adjectives; numbers; alphabet; and action verbs.
Grammar for Business – English Grammar for the Business Area – Spots: 30 – Workload: 32 hours
This course develops communicative ability in a foreign language, expanding knowledge of technical vocabulary in English.
Basic English 2 – Spots: 30 – Duration: 34 hours
The course continues with students who have already started learning English and wish to advance their knowledge. By the end of the course, the student will be able to express information about themselves and others, where they live, and their daily life.
English for Entrance Exams – Spots: 25 – Duration: 40 hours
This course includes theoretical lessons on linguistic and textual aspects of the English language, addressing reading and interpretation of English texts and focusing on reading and comprehension exercises from previous entrance exams and ENEM.
English for Conversation – Spots: 20 – Duration: 40 hours
This course covers strategies for negotiating meanings, solving potential problems, and differentiating the ways of constructing meaning between the mother tongue and the target language.
Advanced Spanish – Spots: 20 – Duration: 32 hours
This course develops the following topics: Future expression, conditions and probability; Discursive markers, subordinate clauses, punctuation; Imperative, Imperative with pronouns; Imperfect subjunctive; Discursive genres: round table, soap opera, seminar, and article.
Advanced Spanish 1 – Spots: 20 – Duration: 32 hours
This course takes students through various text genres, discussing cultural themes of the Spanish language and comparing them with their own culture.
Who Can Participate
To participate in the courses, candidates must be at least 15 years old and have completed elementary education. Some courses have additional requirements, such as “Basic English 2,” which requires certification from the previous module or approval in a diagnostic evaluation. The “Advanced Spanish” courses require approval in the intermediate course or proof of equivalent knowledge.
Selection Process
The selection process is simple and straightforward: the first candidates who meet the prerequisites will have their spots guaranteed. The selection of candidates will be conducted in the order of registration, respecting the criteria for reserving spots. The list of selected candidates will be published on the IFSP website on August 12, 2024.
Enrollment must be conducted online, upon presentation of the necessary documents, such as a copy of the ID, CPF, and proof of schooling. Unfilled spots will be made available for general competition.
