The opportunities are available at the units in Coronel Fabriciano and Ipatinga. Classes start in February and cover areas with high demand for professionals, such as management, IT, sales, beauty, and administrative services.
The programs are part of the Senac Free Program (PSG) and Senac+. Both cater to individuals with a family income of up to two minimum wages and businesses in commerce, services, and tourism.

At the Coronel Fabriciano unit, free courses cover areas such as Hairdressing, Elderly Caregiver, and Eyebrow Design. There are also training courses aimed at customer service, personal finance, and public speaking.
These programs cater to both those seeking a new profession and those wishing to update their skills. Moreover, administrative courses facilitate young people’s entry into the formal job market.
Ipatinga Expands Free Courses in IT and Technology
In Ipatinga, most of the spots are concentrated in the IT area. Thus, there are courses in Basic IT, Excel, and digital training aimed at mature audiences.
In this way, these programs meet an increasing demand from the job market. Currently, digital skills are required even in administrative and operational functions.
Professional Qualification Impacted More Than 2,000 Students in 2025
In 2025, more than 2,000 students passed through SENAC units in the Valley of Steel. Most participated in quick courses focused directly on employability.
According to Helielson Ribeiro, director of the units, free courses expand opportunities and strengthen regional development. “Offering free education means opening doors to better living conditions,” he states.
Additionally, students from around 30 municipalities were impacted by the professional qualification actions.

Enrollment must be done in person, according to the schedule of each course. There are no reserved spots, and service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
