Additionally, during their free hours, young people have the opportunity to enjoy incredible landscapes and explore various tourist destinations.

How Can I Compete For Spots In The Free Training Courses For Cruises?

According to Fabrício Brito, the program’s creator, more than a thousand Brazilians are expected to secure jobs in the field during the 2024/2025 cruise season, which starts in November. Brazilian legislation requires that at least 15% of the crew members be Brazilian, which represents 1,410 spots.

To participate in the free training courses for cruises, candidates must be Brazilian, between the ages of 18 and 45, and have at least a complete high school education. The program is significantly inclusive, prioritizing people in situations of social vulnerability, including Black individuals, LGBT individuals, transgender individuals, descendants of indigenous peoples, single mothers, and immigrant refugees with Brazilian passports.

Structure Of The Free Training Courses For Cruises

During the training program, participants will receive classes focused on the English language and participate in virtual meetings with specialists from various fields such as maritime hospitality, psychology, health, and career guidance. In up to four months, students will be trained in the main functions required for cruise ship crew members.

After completing the nine modules of the free training courses for cruises, students will undergo a qualification assessment. Those who pass will move on to the next stage, which includes preparation for job interviews with recruitment agencies that select candidates for cruise companies.
