The Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) announced Public Notice No. 16/2024 for the Specific Selection Process (PSE), aimed at courses in the Distance Education (EAD) modality. A total of 4,350 spots will be offered across 17 different courses, focusing on professional training and continuing education. These courses are an excellent opportunity for those looking to qualify for free in various fields.

Course Objective and Workload

The main objective of the free online courses (EAD) is to equip students with practical skills and knowledge in different areas of knowledge, contributing to personal and professional development. All courses are offered in the EAD modality, allowing students greater flexibility in their studies. The total workload of the courses varies, with activities such as online classes, discussion forums, seminars, and assessments, always with the mediation of teachers and tutors.

Available Spots and Offer Locations

A total of 4,350 spots are available across the 46 centers of the Universidade Aberta do Brasil (UAB), located in different municipalities in the state of Piauí. Candidates can choose the closest center to attend any mandatory in-person activities, according to the chosen course.

Selection Process for Free Courses

The selection process allocates spots for both general competition and affirmative actions, including reserves for students from public schools, currently practicing teachers, and public agents. Selection will be made through an objective test, which will cover high school-level content, including Portuguese Language, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. Candidates who achieve the highest scores in the tests will be classified.

Requirements for Registration at the Federal University

Candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing high school by the time of enrollment to apply for the selection process. Additionally, internet access and a device to follow the classes and perform online activities are required. All candidates need to pay attention to the required documentation, such as ID, CPF, and proof of education.
