New Mid-Sized SUV from Renault Launches in the Brazilian Market with 1.3 Turbo Flex Engine, Automated Six-Speed Transmission, Up to 24 Driver Assistance Features, and National Production in Paraná. Pre-Sale Has Already Started with Bonuses and Special Conditions.
Renault has opened the pre-sale of the Boreal in Brazil with three versions and prices starting at R$ 179,990, positioning the new mid-sized SUV to compete against the Jeep Compass and Toyota Corolla Cross.
Produced at the Ayrton Senna Complex in São José dos Pinhais (PR), the national model has deliveries scheduled to start on November 21, and during this initial phase, it offers specific commercial conditions through the Boreal R Pass program.
Pre-Sale, Versions, and Prices of the Renault Boreal
At launch, the range consists of Evolution (R$ 179,990), Techno (R$ 199,990), and Iconic (R$ 214,990).

-
For R$ 32,000, a brand new Hyundai car is a rival to the Kwid with a 1.2 engine producing 82 hp, 6 airbags as standard, multimedia with wireless Android Auto, up to 391 liters in the trunk, and a refreshed look for 2026 in India.
-
He bought a new car in 1983, locked it in the barn in 1988, and no one opened the door for 38 years until the family discovered what was stored inside and realized it looked like something out of a movie.
The launch campaign includes a trade-in bonus — R$ 10,000 for Evolution and Iconic and R$ 12,000 for Techno — or, alternatively, financing with zero interest for up to 24 installments for those not trading in a vehicle.
The reservation is made with a down payment of R$ 1,000 through the Boreal R Pass, which also grants access to a welcome kit and participation in promotional activities.
Engine, Transmission, and Driving Modes
All versions use the well-known 1.3 TCe turbo flex four-cylinder engine, delivering 163 hp when fueled with ethanol and 156 hp with gasoline.
The engine is paired with the automated EDC transmission with dual clutch and six speeds, providing a maximum torque of 27.5 kgfm.

The brand also highlights the availability of driving modes that vary according to the configuration: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Perso (or Personnel), and Smart, the latter capable of automatically adjusting parameters and even changing the interior lighting based on usage.
Dimensions, Capacity, and Design
With a length of 4.56 m, width of 1.84 m, height of 1.65 m, and wheelbase of 2.70 m, the Boreal fits into the core of the C-SUV segment.
The trunk has a capacity of 586 liters (or 522 liters in VDA standard), placing it among the largest in its category.
The local production started in October at the Paraná factory, chosen as the initial global hub for the model.
Design and Finishing
In terms of appearance, the grille with elements reminiscent of diamonds and the new brand identity with a centralized logo bring the Boreal closer to Renault’s latest global standard.
The full-LED light signature features welcome and farewell animations, while the rear adopts thinner, horizontally styled tail lights.
Depending on the version, the SUV offers two-tone paint with a black roof and light alloy wheels of 18 or 19 inches — the latter with a diamond finish and a design inspired by mechanical components.
The catalog includes six colors, with Mercure Blue as the launch shade.
Interior and Technology with Integrated Google

Inside, the dashboard adopts the OpenR Link setup with two 10″ screens and integrated Google.
The system eliminates the need for a mobile phone for navigation, offering native Google Maps, voice assistant, and access to the Play Store, as well as enabling wireless mirroring of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The interface can display the map simultaneously on the central screen and in the instrument cluster.
Among the comfort features, there is a wireless charger, dual-zone digital air conditioning, and, in the higher trims, a Harman Kardon sound system with 10 speakers, electric panoramic sunroof, and front seats with massage and memory for the driver.
Safety and Up to 24 Driver Assistance Features
The Boreal offers up to 24 driver assistance systems (ADAS), depending on the version.
Among the features are blind spot alert, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function, lane centering, and safe exit alert for occupants.
The 360° camera with 3D view and park assist enhance maneuverability, supported by front, rear, and side sensors.
The model comes with six airbags and disc brakes on all four wheels, ventilated in the front.
Equipment by Version
In the Evolution, the list includes full-LED headlights, 18″ wheels, 7″ digital dashboard, 10″ multimedia system, six airbags, wireless charging, and electronic parking brake.

The Techno adds a 10″ digital dashboard with map replication, Google built-in, five driving modes, ambient lighting with 48 colors, and electric front seats with lumbar adjustment.
The top Iconic adds 19″ wheels, panoramic sunroof, blue interior trim, hands-free electric trunk opening, and the complete ADAS package with 24 assistants.
Direct Competition with Compass and Corolla Cross
Renault targets the segment leaders by combining a competitive starting price with a broader embedded technology package.
In dimensions and load capacity, the Boreal seeks an advantage over traditional rivals, while connectivity with native Google services acts as a daily use differential.
The mechanics with the 1.3 TCe and EDC transmission already known in other brand models complete the package designed for the Brazilian market.
Boreal R Pass: Exclusive Advantages in Reservation
In addition to the down payment of R$ 1,000, the R Pass functions as a pre-sale club that guarantees delivery priority, launch price, exclusive kit, and participation in promotional activities, such as raffles linked to the Roland Garros tournament.
The commercial conditions with trade-in bonuses and zero interest financing are valid only during the pre-sale period announced by the manufacturer.
Considering the price package, equipment, and native technology in the Google ecosystem, the Boreal has the potential to challenge segment references, but the purchasing decision hinges on what matters most to the consumer: larger trunk, more complete ADAS, or pre-sale conditions?
