The Estrella Mobil, a custom motorhome manufacturer located in Santa Branca, São Paulo, recently announced its first partnership with a vehicle manufacturer. The partnership is with the French company Renault, for the construction of the Master van for a motorhome, called Asterix, which will feature an exclusive Estrella kit and can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people.

The partnership also includes an exclusive financing line and a large network of dealerships for customer service. The Renault Master van has been the absolute sales leader for 8 consecutive years and has won several quality awards in the market, being recognized as the model with the highest resale value in its category.
The Renault vehicle offers more space and provides excellent cost-benefit. With the dCi 2.3L Turbo engine, the Master is up to 24% more fuel-efficient. Additionally, it has the most competitive maintenance and service costs in the market, and it is produced locally, which is always advantageous regarding prices and availability of parts.

Company Develops Electric Motorhome
In addition to this innovation from Renault and Estrella Mobil, Winnebago, which produces motorhomes, announced in January its fully electric prototype powered by solar energy, named eRV2.
Based on the same chassis as the Ford-E Transit, the Electric Motorhome looks like a regular van from the outside and offers a range of 174 km per charge. The American company equipped the vehicle with a 48-volt battery and 15 kWh stored under the floor. The battery, which powers only the internal amenities, can operate for a week without recharging. Among the items powered by it are the heater, shower, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and refrigerator.
The secret to keeping this system running is multiple 900 W solar panels installed on the roof of the Motorhome, which keep the battery charged. According to the company’s expectations, with just 4 hours of sunlight per day, it is possible to be away from an outlet for up to a week.
