Nearly 280 Thousand Candidates Compete for Over a Thousand Positions with Salaries up to R$ 12,8 Thousand
The expectation comes to an end this Tuesday (04/22) for the almost 280 thousand registered candidates in the Embrapa 2025 competition. The result of the objective tests will be released by Cebraspe, the organizing body of the selection, marking a new stage in one of the most competitive public competitions of the year, according to the website Ache Concursos.
With 279,701 registered, the selection process offers 1,027 effective positions distributed among elementary, middle, and higher education levels, in various units of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) spread across the country.
Diverse Positions and Wide Competition
The opportunities encompass different areas of expertise. In total, there are 62 positions for the Assistant role, which requires only incomplete elementary education; 242 for Technician, requiring middle school; 404 for Analyst, aimed at candidates with a complete higher education; and 319 positions for Researcher, a role that requires a degree and at least a master’s degree in the field.

The distribution of positions was also made inclusively: 719 are for open competition, 103 reserved for people with disabilities (PWD), and 205 for candidates of Black or Mixed Race, in accordance with the current quota laws.
Attractive Salaries and Benefits
Salaries range from R$ 2,186.19 to R$ 12,814.61, depending on the position and required qualifications. The workload may reach up to 40 hours per week. In addition to the base salary, the approved candidates will be entitled to medical assistance, food allowance, transportation voucher, pre-school assistance, plus additional benefits for length of service, title, or legal activity, depending on the position held.
Competition Stages and Minimum Requirements
The tests were conducted in different formats according to the level of the position. For Technician and Assistant, 100 objective questions were applied, consisting of 40 general knowledge questions and 60 specific questions. Candidates needed to achieve at least 8 points in general, 18 in specific, and 30 points in total to continue in the competition.
For Analysts, the test included 40 general questions, 30 complementary, and 30 specific. The minimum requirement was 8 points in general knowledge, 6 in complementary, 9 in specific, and a total of 30 points. For Researchers, the evaluation had 50 general knowledge questions, 25 complementary, and 35 specific, with a requirement of 10 points in general, 5 in complementary, 10 in specific, and 33 points in total.
It is worth remembering that the competition uses the correction model with positive points for correct answers, negative for incorrect, and zero for unanswered questions or double-marked ones.
Next Steps After the Results Are Released
The publication this Tuesday refers to the final result of the objective tests for the positions of Assistant and Technician, as well as the call for the practical test, which is a mandatory stage for these two roles.
Candidates for Analyst and Researcher will have to wait until April 29, when the provisional result of the written tests will be released. For these positions, there will also be an analysis of titles, and in the case of Researchers, a technical report or research project will also be required.

Complaints or requests for review can be made between April 23 and 24, directly on the bank’s website, within the established timeframe, which runs from 10 AM on the 23rd to 6 PM on the 24th.
The Embrapa competition will be valid for two years, counted from the final approval, and may be extended for an equal period. The recommendation for all candidates is to constantly check the official website of Cebraspe, where all calls and announcements will be published.
