price of gasoline, ethanol and diesel in Rio de Janeiro is the highest in the region

Gasoline was sold at R$ 6,975 in Rio de Janeiro in November, while the price of ethanol registers R$ 6,473 at the pumps and becomes the third highest in the country

Constant shots in the price of gasoline, ethanol and diesel do not give a truce to the pockets of Brazilians. According to the most recent survey by the Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), gasoline sold in the Southeast Region in November showed an increase of 7,16% compared to the previous month. Fuel was found at R$ 7,330 at gas stations, second only to the averages recorded in the Midwest Region.

Rio de Janeiro stood out with the highest average price of gasoline in November. The fuel was sold at BRL 7,330 at gas stations in Rio de Janeiro. In São Paulo, despite the increase of 7,46% recorded for gasoline, the average price at the pumps was R$ 6,456, the lowest among the other States in the Region.

Gasoline is not the only villain: Rio de Janeiro registers a significant increase of 10,93% for ethanol, which reaches R$ 6,473 at the pumps

The same scenario was repeated for ethanol, which was found with the lowest averages at São Paulo gas stations, at R$ 5,302, even with an increase of 13,19% in relation to the previous month. Rio de Janeiro also registered a significant increase of 10,93% for fuel, which was sold at R$ 6,473, the most expensive average in the regional balance.

“A few months ago, the IPTL has been pointing to an increasing rise in the average price of gasoline sold in the Southeast. Despite this constancy, when compared to ethanol in the 70/30 ratio, gasoline is the most advantageous option for the pocket of the consumer who supplies fuel in all four states of the region, according to Ticket Log”, points out Douglas Pina, Head of Urban Market by Edenred Brasil.

Diesel gives a respite to consumers' pockets by showing the smallest variations

Common diesel and S-10 diesel had the lowest price variations in the Southeast, with an average increase of 6,46%. As well as at the end of October, the two types of diesel were found with the highest average value at the Minas Gerais service stations, at R$ 5,486 for the common diesel and R$ 5,558 for the S-10 type. Rio de Janeiro, on the other hand, had the lowest prices for both fuels – regular diesel was sold at R$5,324 and S-10 at R$5,399. São Paulo pumps also registered an average of R$ 5,324 for common diesel. In the national balance, the common type was sold at R$ 5,368 and the S-10 at R$ 5,453.

The IPTL is a fuel price index based on fueling carried out at the 21 accredited Ticket Log stations, which is highly reliable due to the number of vehicles managed by the brand: 1 million in all, with an average of eight transactions per second. Ticket Log, Edenred Brasil's fleet management and mobility solutions brand, has over 30 years of experience and adapts to customer needs, offering modern and innovative solutions in order to simplify daily processes.
