Alert in the fuel market: Analysts and a former director of ANP warn that oil prices may worsen in the coming months due to global instability.
“For several months, the IPTL has been indicating a continuous rise in the average price of gasoline sold in the Southeast. Despite this consistency, when compared to ethanol in the 70/30 ratio, gasoline is the more advantageous option for the consumer refueling in all four states of the region, according to Ticket Log,” points out Douglas Pina, Head of Urban Market at Edenred Brasil.
Diesel Gives a Break to Consumers by Showing the Lowest Variations
Common diesel and S-10 diesel showed the lowest price variations in the Southeast, with an average increase of 6.46%. As in the closing of October, both types of diesel were found with the highest average value at stations in Minas Gerais, at R$ 5,486 for common and R$ 5,558 for S-10. Rio de Janeiro, on the other hand, presented the lowest prices for both types of fuel – common diesel was sold at R$ 5,324 and S-10 at R$ 5,399. The stations in São Paulo also recorded an average of R$ 5,324 for common diesel. In the national balance, common diesel was sold at R$ 5,368 and S-10 at R$ 5,453.

The IPTL is a fuel price index collected based on the refuelings carried out at 21,000 accredited Ticket Log stations, which has great reliability due to the number of vehicles managed by the brand: 1 million in total, with an average of eight transactions per second.
