Junior Electrician

Work as an electrician to support maintenance activities in O&M services for conventional substations and HVDC electrical substations at Extra High, High, Medium, and Low Voltage. Drive a truck with testing and load lifting equipment inside and outside the client’s facilities. The scope of this work is in the cities of Garruchos/Santo Angelo and Itá, located respectively in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.

Tasks

Support in maintenance of diesel generator sets and cooling systems for thyristor valves of HVDC systems, instrumentation, maneuvers, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance in conventional substations and HVDC at Extra High, High, Medium, and Low Voltage. Compliance with Technical and Safety Procedures and Administrative Standards of ABB and the clients.

Requirements

Professional education: Electrician
Knowledge in electrician activities
Heavy vehicle operation (truck)
Prerequisite: Reside in the cities of Garruchos or São Luiz Gonzaga/RS

Substation Operator

Work as a field operator in O&M services for conventional substations and HVDC electrical substations at Extra High, High, Medium, and Low Voltage, including inspection and maintenance routines. The scope of this work is in the cities of Garruchos/Santo Angelo and Itá, located respectively in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.

Tasks

Routine inspection of equipment, Isolation and locking of areas and equipment for maintenance release, Execute predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance as needed. Perform maneuvers on yard equipment, energizing or de-energizing areas, monitor the overall operation of the converters through checking equipment temperature, voltage level, active power, reactive power, valve firing angle. Maintenance Management System (IDUS), where all failures and points in the process of deterioration must be updated and recorded. Verify the areas released after maintenance before their energization by the Dispatch Operator, check and inform the condition of the installations in general. Analysis of the Work Permit (PDT) and verification of necessary equipment maneuvers for area release for Maintenance, using maneuver guides for isolation. Inspect equipment showing abnormalities, record alarm information and protections operated, and take necessary measures to resolve the situation, ensure the safety of facilities, perform field and office activities. Technical contacts with external and/or internal clients. Knowledge of operational routines of transmission substations. Use typical phraseology to communicate with ANEEL / ONS. Compliance with Technical and Safety Procedures and Administrative Standards of ABB and the clients. Participation in field events, such as scheduled maintenance outages for equipment repair. Issuance of technical reports, especially those directed to substation inspection and electrical equipment maintenance. Quality control of field instruments, checking conservation status, need for replacement, measurement validity, etc.
