NN Logistics Fair Gathers Over 300 National and International Brands in Expanded Space and Reinforces the Strategic Role of the Amazon in Waterway Transport

Manaus returns to being the center of attention for the riverine naval industry in Latin America. From May 7 to 9, the capital of Amazonas will host the third edition of NN Logistics, considered the largest fair of the riverine naval industry in Latin America. The event will take place at the Vasco Vasques Convention Center, with expanded space in two pavilions, over 100 confirmed exhibitors, and an expected audience of more than 7,000 visitors.

The fair gathers the main players in the sector and consolidates itself as a strategic platform for business, technical debates, and the launch of solutions focused on waterway transport, highlighting the Amazon region, where river navigation is the main means of transport and cargo movement.

All Segments of the Riverine Naval Industry Represented

Present will be engine manufacturers, such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Scania, Mitsubishi, Daihatsu, Wartsila, and Yanmar, in addition to shipyards, parts suppliers, navigation systems, safety equipment, consultancies, and public institutions linked to the development of Brazil’s waterway infrastructure.

NN Logistics stands out for its integration of business fair and technical conference, promoting not only the exhibition of products and services but also high-level debates on the challenges and future of the riverine naval industry in the Amazon.

Conference Discusses the Future of Inland Navigation and Public Policies

Alongside the fair, the Official NN Logistics Conference will feature thematic panels on innovation, sustainability, and public policies, focusing on solutions for navigation in the Amazon rivers, affected by extreme events such as severe droughts and intense floods.

Among the topics addressed in the panels are:

  • The Professionalization of Passenger Transport and Fleet Renewal
  • Financing and Public Policies for the Riverine Naval Industry
  • The Effects of Drought and Solutions for Navigability in the Amazon
  • Technological Prospects and Sustainable Growth of the Sector

The event will bring together public authorities, academics, executives from shipyards, and financial institutions, reinforcing the importance of intersectoral cooperation to ensure a more efficient and resilient future for Brazilian inland navigation.

In addition, the event will feature presentations from universities, such as UFSC, represented by Professor Thiago Pontin Tancredi, a specialist in naval engineering.

Amazon as a Protagonist of Brazilian River Logistics

Amid climate changes and the growing search for sustainable transport alternatives, the riverine naval industry gains prominence as a strategic axis for logistics in the Amazon and Brazil.

The NN Logistics reinforces this positioning by bringing together representatives from the public and private sectors, pointing out ways to strengthen inland navigation, reduce logistics costs, expand modern fleets, and generate jobs in the naval sector.

According to the organizers, the event is also an opportunity to value the Amazon as a technological and industrial hub of the riverine sector, boosting regional development through innovation, training, and attracting investments.
