Now, it is working with two new contracts totaling over US$ 900 million for projects in Brazil and Norway.
The first contract was closed with TotalEnergies in partnership with Aker Solutions from Brazil for the Lapa South-West development project.
This project is located 270 kilometers off the coast of São Paulo, in the deep waters of the Santos Basin. It ensures Saipem a greater presence in the Brazilian oil and natural gas market.
The agreement signed with TotalEnergies provides for engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) services for subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF).
In addition, Saipem will be responsible for providing services related to the installation of a subsea production system (SPS).
The project developed by the companies will be carried out from three wells that will connect to a platform located 12 kilometers away from the area.
The development represents an investment of approximately US$ 1 billion, thus marking a significant value for the national oil and natural gas market.
In its national contracts, Saipem intends to rely on the support of its Guarujá Offshore Technology and Construction Center (CTCO) shipyard.
This will be used for logistics activities and manufacturing of quad joints, among other manufacturing activities.
In this way, it will enhance its operations in the deepwater project.
Company Signs New Contract with Equinor for Project in Norway and Aims for the European Oil and Natural Gas Market
In addition to the ongoing contracts in Brazil, Saipem has signed a new agreement for an oil and natural gas project in Norway, targeting the European market.
The contract was closed with Equinor for the Irpa Pipeline project, located in deep waters of the Norwegian sea.
It involves the installation of an 80-kilometer pipe-in-pipe pipeline, connecting the subsea production model of the Irpa field to the existing Aasta Hansteen platform.
The vessel used in the operations will be the Castorone, which will start operating in 2025.
Among the recent contract achievements, it is worth noting that, at the end of 2022, Saipem secured new offshore contracts with a total value of approximately US$ 1.2 billion for work in Guyana and Egypt.
Saipem has been increasingly expanding its operations in the oil and natural gas market worldwide, with significant contracts in the sector.
