Competition Offers 180 Vacancies for Environmental Analyst, Administrative Analyst, and Environmental Inspector, All Requiring Higher Education; Applications Open on April 28.
The first notice from IDEMA RN has been published. The public competition of the Institute for Sustainable Development and Environment of Rio Grande do Norte offers 180 vacancies. All positions require higher education. The available positions are Environmental Analyst (113 vacancies), Administrative Analyst (27 vacancies), and Environmental Inspector (40 vacancies). The starting salary is R$ 5,118.52 for all positions. The competition is organized by Institut AOCP. This IDEMA notice represents an excellent opportunity for professionals with higher education.
Details of the First IDEMA Notice
This is the first public competition conducted by IDEMA RN. The EDICT OF IDEMA RN details the offering of 180 permanent vacancies. All positions are intended for professionals with a complete higher education degree. The three positions offered are: Environmental Analyst, Administrative Analyst, and Environmental Inspector. According to the EDICT OF IDEMA, the starting salary for all positions is R$ 5,118.52.

- Environmental Analyst: 113 vacancies (for various fields such as Aquaculture, Anthropology, Architecture, Biology, Ecology, Agronomy, Various Engineering, Geography, Geology, Environmental Management, Oceanography, Pedagogy, Chemistry, among others).
- Administrative Analyst: 27 vacancies (for fields such as Administration, Law, Library Science, Accounting, Computer Science, Production Engineering, Economics, Journalism, Statistics, Psychology).
- Environmental Inspector: 40 vacancies.

Applications and Exams
It is essential that candidates pay attention to the key dates of the EDICT OF IDEMA. The application period will be from April 28 to June 6, 2025. Those eligible for a fee exemption can request it between April 28 and May 2, 2025.
The application fee is a flat amount of R$ 150.00, and payment must be made by June 6, 2025. The objective and writing tests are scheduled for July 27, 2025.
Structure of the Objective Test for IDEMA RN Competition
The first stage of evaluation of the EDICT OF IDEMA will be the objective test. This test will last for 5 hours. It will consist of 60 multiple-choice questions. Each question will present 5 alternatives, with only one being correct. The subjects and number of questions are:
- Portuguese Language: 10 questions
- History of RN and Geoeconomic Aspects of RN: 5 questions
- Basic Computer Science: 5 questions
- Specific Knowledge of the position: 20 questions
- Federal and State Environmental Legislation: 20 questions
The EDICT OF IDEMA establishes elimination criteria. A candidate will be eliminated if they score zero in any area of knowledge, obtain less than 40% in General Knowledge, less than 50% in Specific Knowledge, or less than 60% in the total score of the objective test.
How Will the Writing Test Be?
The second stage of the competition will be the Writing Test (Discursive). This stage also has eliminatory and classificatory characteristics, as per the EDICT OF IDEMA. The format of the test varies according to the position:
- Environmental Analyst: Preparation of 1 Technical Opinion on a case study in the area of expertise.
- Environmental Inspector: Preparation of 1 Technical Report on a case study related to the job responsibilities.
- Administrative Analyst (except Journalist): Preparation of 1 Technical Opinion on a case study in the area of expertise.
- Administrative Analyst – Journalist: Preparation of 1 Journalistic Text on a suggested theme.
The discursive test will be evaluated on two main aspects. The first is the “Technical knowledge of the subject”, worth up to 20 points. The second is the “Appropriate use of the Portuguese Language”, worth up to 10 points. The maximum total score is 30 points. Important: scoring zero in the criterion of Portuguese Language results in a zero score for the entire discursive test, eliminating the candidate from the EDICT OF IDEMA.
