Modern Infrastructure and Strategic Location
The new terminal will be installed in an area of 200 hectares, approximately 20 kilometers from the center of Olímpia, ensuring easy access via strategic highways.
The location was chosen to optimize the air connectivity of the region, facilitating the arrival of tourists and boosting economic development.
In addition to increasing air traffic capacity, the infrastructure will be modern and designed to serve both domestic and international passengers.
The expectation is that the airport will elevate Olímpia to a new level as a tourist destination, facilitating the arrival of commercial flights and possibly international airlines.
Olímpia: A Growing Tourist Hub
Currently, Olímpia receives around 4 million tourists per year, a number that is expected to increase to 5 million by the end of 2025.
The municipality already stands out in the tourism sector, with 54 tourism operators and more than 80 lodging options, totaling 34 thousand available beds.
This number makes the city the second largest hotel network in the state of São Paulo, second only to the capital.
With the construction of the new airport, the expectation is that tourism activity in the city will grow even more, benefiting hotels, restaurants, theme parks, and other tourism-related establishments.
The project is part of a larger effort to consolidate Olímpia as one of Brazil’s main tourist destinations.
Investment and Start of Construction
The construction of the North Paulista International Airport will be financed through the Growth Acceleration Program (PAC), ensuring the necessary resources for the implementation of the infrastructure.
The initial investment is BRL 500 million, an amount that may be increased as the works progress and the need for structural improvements arises.
The mayor of Olímpia, Geninho Zuliani, highlighted the importance of the new airport for the city and the region.
“The arrival of the North Paulista International Airport will be a milestone for Olímpia, transforming the economic and tourist dynamics of the city and the region,” Zuliani stated.
The forecast is that the works will begin in the first half of 2025, with an accelerated execution schedule to ensure the delivery of the infrastructure within the estimated timeframe.
