The curriculum includes morning classes at SENAI, complemented by professional training at partner companies in the afternoon.
Thus, it is crucial that interested individuals have their days free to make the most of this training opportunity.
Silvana Meneghini, executive manager of SESI and SENAI in the Itajaí region, emphasizes the importance of this initiative.
According to her, the need for training specific labor for naval construction was identified by the sector, represented by Sinconavin, together with its associates.
SENAI Aims for Qualified Labor in the Region
The naval and nautical industry of Itajaí and the region has recognized the urgency of having qualified labor, considering the economic growth of the sector.
In partnership with SENAI and professionals from the largest local shipyards, they have been able to develop training programs to meet this demand.
The collaboration between Sinconavin and SENAI has lasted about 20 years, through the association with the Federation of Industries of Santa Catarina (FIESC).
The nautical and naval sectors play a crucial role in the local economy, moving over R$ 600 million just in Itajaí, covering naval construction and the nautical industry.
The contribution of these sectors at the national level is even more significant, with an economic movement of approximately R$ 2.5 billion annually.
The taxes from the nautical industry exceed R$ 2 billion.
Regarding job creation, more than 3,000 direct opportunities are created by the sector in Itajaí and Navegantes.
Free Courses Support the Growth of the Nautical and Naval Industry at the National Level
In Santa Catarina, the nautical industry accounts for about 70% of the national market, highlighting its vitality and prominence in the Brazilian scenario.
Silvana emphasizes that currently, there is a shortage of qualified labor for the sector in Itajaí and surrounding areas.
Companies invest in the training of their employees, but the demand for trained professionals exceeds the availability in the market.
This underscores the importance of the partnership between Sinconavin and SENAI, along with other educational and training institutions, to meet the growing demand for professionals prepared to meet the industry’s needs in the region.
Therefore, young individuals residing near or in the city where SENAI’s free courses will be offered should not miss this chance! After all, right after training, you will already have one of the job vacancies guaranteed in a local shipyard.
