Auction Tomorrow (03/17) for the Sale of Two CO2 Removal Skids from Petrobras Platforms P-72 and P-73

Tomorrow, the Brazilian oil company Petrobras will auction two CO2 removal skids that were to be used in the projects for platforms P-72 and P-73. Each skid will have a starting bid of approximately USD 183,000.00 and will be sold virtually on the auctioneer João Emílio’s website, starting at 11am.

In 2016, Petrobras decided not to continue the construction of the oil units P-72 and P-73 that were to be built in southern Brazil.

Since then, the oil company has sold materials that were to be used on the platforms, such as steel structures, equipment, and automation panels. In addition, Petrobras has already negotiated at least 38,000 tons of steel structures related to P-72 and P-73.

And it doesn’t stop there, Petrobras will hold an auction on the 30th with more lots of equipment, consisting of compressors and heat exchangers.

To place bids on the auctioneer João Emílio’s website, it is necessary to register in advance, fill out an electronic form, and send documentation through the site while accepting the conditions of the notice.

The accident that occurred with the explosion on the Petrobras P-36 platform, in the Roncador field, in the Campos Basin, which happened 20 years ago and killed 11 oil workers, of whom only two had their bodies found, left marks on the oil industry worldwide.
