After Breaking Record With 5.9 Million Debts Negotiated And Granting R$ 17 Billion In Discounts, The Serasa Limpa Nome Fair Is Extended Until December 19 As The Last Chance For Millions Of Indebted Brazilians To Use The 13th Salary To Negotiate Old Debts And Clean Their Name Before 2026

On December 3, 2025, after registering a record of 5.9 million debts negotiated and 4 million indebted Brazilians served in less than 30 days in November, Serasa confirmed the extension of the Limpa Nome Fair until December 19, the date when the second installment of the 13th salary is paid for a large portion of formal workers in the country. The decision comes after a 19 percent increase compared to the November 2024 edition, with the volume of discounts totaling R$ 17 billion on overdue debts.

During the same period, the collective effort registered the largest day of negotiations in the company’s history, on November 29, 2025, when 488 thousand debts were renegotiated in a single day, exceeding the previous record of 458 thousand agreements on the last Friday of November 2024 by 6.59 percent. With over 660 million offers available, discounts reaching up to 99 percent, and waiver of fees for in-person service at the Post Office, the Fair solidifies as the main concentrated action for debt renegotiation aimed at indebted Brazilians at the end of the year.

Historic Record In November And Impact On Indebted Brazilians

According to Serasa itself, the Limpa Nome Fair is now the largest debt negotiation collective effort in the country, having allowed 4 million indebted Brazilians to close agreements involving 5.9 million debts just in November 2025.

This number represents a 19 percent jump compared to the November 2024 edition, indicating a combination of greater demand for renegotiation and an expansion of offers from creditor companies.

The discounts granted since the beginning of the current edition total more than R$ 17 billion in values deducted from overdue debts, among banks, finance companies, telecommunications companies, securitizers, and other creditors.

For many indebted Brazilians, the possibility of reducing a significant part of the debt balance is what makes it feasible to turn the 13th salary into a financial restart tool rather than just covering current year-end expenses.

Discounts Of Up To 99 Percent And Focus On The 13th Salary

Serasa informs that, together with the Post Office, Febraban, and more than 1,600 partner companies, it has reinforced offers with the possibility of deductions of up to 99 percent on certain debts.

In practice, this means that some agreements can be closed with payment of only a fraction of the original value, especially in old contracts or those fully provisioned by creditors.

The extension of the deadline until December 19 was planned to coincide with the payment of the second installment of the 13th salary, a period when a large part of indebted Brazilians has some extra income margin.

Serasa’s management itself recognizes that many consumers rely on this money to reorganize their budget, and the extension acts as an additional window for those seeking to escape delinquency before the year’s end.

Post Office Reinforces In-Person Service Without Fee Charges

Another relevant point for indebted Brazilians is the maintenance of the partnership with the Post Office.

In November, more than 135,000 services were provided at the company’s branches across the country, offering a physical channel for those without easy access to apps, internet, or traditional banking services.

According to the president of the Post Office, Emmanoel Rondon, the more than 7,000 branches will continue until December 19 with waiver of specific fees related to negotiations at the Limpa Nome Fair.

This means that indebted Brazilians who prefer or need in-person service can seek agreements without additional service costs at the company’s units, taking advantage of the network’s reach in small municipalities and regions further away from major centers.

Friday With 488 Thousand Debts Negotiated And Largest Day In The Company’s History

Friday, November 28, 2025, saw the highest volume of negotiations ever recorded by Serasa in a single day, with 488 thousand debts renegotiated nationwide.

This number exceeded the previous record of 458 thousand agreements on the last Friday of November 2024 by 6.59 percent, indicating a stronger movement by indebted Brazilians towards regularizing their overdue obligations.

This peak in agreements shows that there is a “turning point” behavior on the eve of the end of the month and the additional credit from the 13th salary, a moment when consumers feel more inclined to take on new commitments in exchange for significant discounts.

For creditors, the record day represents an opportunity to clear portfolios, reduce delinquency, and turn old debts into immediate payments.

Which Debts Are Indebted Brazilians Negotiating At The Fair

Data from the current edition of the Limpa Nome Fair indicate that the main negotiations focus on three segments: banks account for 22.3 percent of agreements, telecommunications for 19.8 percent, and securitizers for 18.4 percent.

In practice, this means that a large part of indebted Brazilians is renegotiating credit cards, loans, financing, and accumulated mobile and internet bills over the past few years.

Other sectors, such as retail, services, and collection companies, also feature in the collective effort but with a smaller relative participation.

By distributing offers among different types of creditors, the Fair makes it more likely that the same consumer will have multiple debts available for renegotiation simultaneously, which may allow for closing several agreements in a single negotiation round.

Channels For Indebted Brazilians To Access The Limpa Nome Fair

The negotiations of the Serasa Limpa Nome Fair can be made through digital and in-person channels.

For indebted Brazilians with internet access, service occurs via the website serasalimpanome.com.br, through the Serasa app available in app stores, and also via an official WhatsApp channel, aimed at checking offers and closing agreements with discounts.

Those who do not feel safe negotiating alone via mobile or computer can utilize in-person service at Post Office branches, which are waiving fees until December 19 specifically for transactions associated with the Fair.

In all channels, the basic guidance is to carefully check the amount, type of debt, percentage of discount, and payment conditions before accepting any proposal, especially in the case of Brazilians indebted with very tight budgets.

In your opinion, are the discounts of up to 99 percent and the extension until December 19 sufficient for more indebted Brazilians to actually get out of delinquency or does the fair still leave many people out due to lack of income and information?
