Contract expansion ensures continuity of strategic submarine services with advanced technology and highly qualified teams until 2027
Furthermore, SISTAC confirmed the expansion of the contract with Petrobras, thus ensuring the continuity of maintenance services on offshore platforms.
Thus, the new contractual addendum extends operations for another year, reinforcing activities in the Santos, Campos, and Espírito Santo basins.
In this way, the contract, which was initially signed in April 2023 after a competitive process, is now valid until June 2027.
At the same time, services continue to be carried out with the vessel SISTAC Vitória, part of the company’s own fleet.
Expanded contract reinforces specialized submarine operations
Additionally, the provision of services includes submarine intervention activities, carried out with shallow diving and the use of ROV (remotely operated vehicle).
In this sense, operations are conducted with support from a SDSV (Shallow Dive Support Vessel).

A study confirms that the natural gas sector will reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Brazil by 0.5% and accelerate the energy transition by 2026.
Consequently, the work reaches depths of up to 250 meters, also utilizing the ROV Workclass.
Thus, this structure ensures technical precision and safety in operations in complex underwater environments.
Technology, safety, and recognition in the offshore sector
According to the CEO of SISTAC, Carlos Madaleno, the contractual expansion represents direct recognition of the company’s technical capability.
Moreover, he highlighted that Petrobras demands a high level of operational excellence in all activities.
In this context, the company’s offshore vessels are recognized for their cutting-edge technology, robustness, and reliability.
At the same time, the teams, composed of engineers, technicians, and professional divers, possess high specialization.
Additionally, all diving systems used are certified, ensuring compliance with international safety and performance standards.
In this way, the company maintains a high standard of quality in operations.
Consolidated history and strategic presence in Brazil
On the other hand, SISTAC has accumulated three decades of operation in the underwater inspection, maintenance, and repair sector.
Currently, the company operates with bases in Macaé and Niterói, in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Thus, its operations extend along the entire Brazilian coastline, with a strong presence in the Santos, Campos, and Espírito Santo basins.
Additionally, the company uses its own fleet to support underwater operations and technical inspections.
Award reinforces SISTAC’s operational excellence
In August 2024, as announced by Petrobras itself, the company won the PEODIVE Award for the second consecutive year.
This recognition is linked to the Operational Excellence Program in Shallow Diving.
Thus, the award highlights SISTAC’s ongoing commitment to safety, technical quality, and operational excellence.
Moreover, the recognition confirms the company’s alignment with the highest international standards in the offshore sector.
Company maintains leadership in submerged services in Brazil
Founded in 1995, SISTAC has established itself as a national reference in inspection, maintenance, and repair of submerged structures.
Thus, the company operates both in open sea and in sheltered waters along the Brazilian coast.
Additionally, the company has a specialized team and intensive use of ROVs and applied engineering, allowing operations in hard-to-reach areas.
Consequently, SISTAC maintains a prominent position in the offshore energy sector.
In light of this scenario, the continuity of the contract with Petrobras reinforces the company’s strategic role in supporting underwater operations in Brazil.
