After Providing Excellent Offshore Services to the Operator, Smarcoat Receives Important Certification

Smarcoat Engineering of Coatings takes another step toward the future of its activities in the offshore sector. For the excellent services provided to Chevron Brazil on the FPSO Frade in 2017 and 22,000 hours worked without accidents resulting in leave, the company receives a certificate from Javier La Rosa, the operator’s manager in the country. In the Campos Basin, Chevron is the operator of the Frade Field (51.74%), whose first oil dates back to 2009, and acts as a non-operator partner in the Papa-Terra (37.5%) and Maromba (30%) projects, all in partnership with Petrobras. In Frade, it also counts on the partnership of Frade Japão Petróleo Ltda. In the Ceará Basin, it is the operator of block CE-M715 (50%), in partnership with the Colombian Ecopetrol.

In the Downstream segment, Chevron is also one of the leaders in the manufacturing and marketing of lubricants, industrial greases, and chemical additives in the Brazilian market.
