By 2024, The Sector Aims To Hire 424 Thousand Technology Professionals, Which Means An Average Annual Hiring Of 70 Thousand People.

The growing use of technology in the various sectors of society, both in businesses and households, has led to an exponential increase in the demand for professionals in the field. The Covid-19 pandemic further contributed to increasing the demand in the sector with remote work.

The HR Manager of BHS, Deise Souza, notes that IT has become essential. “The adoption of tools and systems and the importance of data security has generated a search for technology services and professionals. And not only in Brazil, but all over the world. The result is that we always have job openings, but we cannot fill them all,” she adds.

In The First Four Months Of 2021, The Technology Sector Generated 69,048 Job Openings

According to data from the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communication Companies (Brasscom), in the first four months of 2021, the sector generated 69,048 job positions, a growth of over 300% compared to 2020, when 59,153 job positions were generated in the area.

The same research showed a 25% deficit in professionals working with the Internet of Things, 11% in Security, 10% in Big Data, 6% in Cloud, and 2% in Artificial Intelligence.

Completing the list are administrative professionals (19%), technical level (14%), and other technologies (13%). By 2024, the sector aims to hire 424 thousand professionals, which means an average annual hiring of 70 thousand people.

Training Of Professionals Cannot Keep Up With Market Demand, And Salaries Reach R$ 5,628 Monthly.

Deise Souza reveals that at BHS, there is an average of 50 job openings monthly in various areas of technology knowledge. The HR Manager of BHS reveals that training professionals cannot keep up with market demand. “And this is not just in Brazil. It is a global phenomenon. Another attractive aspect of the IT sector is the remuneration. According to the Brasscom study, the national average salary in other sectors is R$ 1,945, while in the Information Technology and Communication sector it reaches R$ 4,792. In high value-added services and software, salaries can reach R$ 5,628 monthly.
