The Federal Institute of Minas Gerais (IFMG), one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the country, has a new public competition open, offering 34 positions for Basic, Technical, and Technological Education (EBTT) teachers. The opportunities are distributed across 15 campi of the institution, covering various areas of knowledge. The 34 positions available in the Institute’s public competition are distributed across various units of the institution, including the campi of Bambuí, Betim, Congonhas, Conselheiro Lafaiete, Formiga, Governador Valadares, Ibirité, Itabirito, Ouro Branco, Ouro Preto, Piumhi, Ribeirão das Neves, Sabará, Santa Luzia, and São João Evangelista.

Each campus offers positions in specific subjects, such as Computer Systems, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, among others.

What Is the Salary Offered in This Public Competition?

The approved candidates in the Institute’s public competition will have a work schedule of 40 hours a week, with exclusive dedication, and the initial salary ranges from R$ 5,875.18 to R$ 11,481.64, depending on the candidate’s qualification.

In addition to a competitive salary, the institution offers a number of benefits, including food allowance, transportation allowance, and preschool assistance.

These benefits are granted in accordance with current legislation and must be requested through the Human Resources Section of the unit of assignment.

Steps of the New Selection Process

The Institute’s public competition will be held in two stages, divided into four phases, ensuring a thorough and fair selection.

The first phase consists of an objective test, which will cover specific knowledge of the area of expertise and legislation.

Next, candidates will undergo a dissertative test, where they must demonstrate their command of relevant themes in their specialty.

The third phase is the didactic performance test, where candidates will have to teach a class of up to 50 minutes and will be evaluated on clarity, teaching ability, and knowledge of the content.

Finally, candidates will take the title exam, which will consider academic qualifications and professional experience, which may influence the final score.
