Stellantis, Automotive Industry Giant, Is About to Revolutionize the Brazilian Market with the Launch of a New Line of Affordable Popular Hybrid Cars. These New Vehicles Promise Advanced Technology and Accessible Prices, Being Produced at the Company’s Plant in Rio de Janeiro.
Stellantis, which is already a sales leader in Brazil with brands such as Fiat and Jeep, is investing billions of reais to bring a new range of compact hybrid vehicles to market. These new models, equipped with BioHybrid technology, are in the final phase of testing and should begin circulating soon.
The BioHybrid consists of a 1.0 three-cylinder turboflex engine, paired with a 100V or 150V electric motor, with power ranging from 20 to 40 kW. The batteries have a capacity of up to 2 kWh, and the system promises a combined power of approximately 140 horsepower, in addition to being up to 15% more economical compared to conventional engines.

In addition to these, the BioHybrid line will also equip the Citroën C3 Aircross and the new Citroën Basal, as well as the new second-generation Peugeot 208 and 2008, and the Jeep Avenger, which will arrive in Brazil in 2025. With estimated prices between R$ 100,000 and R$ 150,000, Stellantis aims to stand out in the affordable hybrid car market, competing directly with Volkswagen and Toyota, which are also investing in hybrid models in Brazil.
