Leadership of the Fiat Strada in Registrations
The Fiat Strada finished February as the leader in the Brazilian new vehicle market, with 11,191 registrations, according to numbers released on March 2 by the K.Lume consultancy.
The volume placed the pickup ahead of the Volkswagen Polo, which came in second with 7,517 registrations.
Following that, the battle for the next positions was tight among compacts.

Dispute Between Fiat Mobi, Argo, and Chevrolet Onix

The dispute among the Mobi, Argo, and Onix was concentrated in narrow margins.
The Mobi secured the third position with 6,560 registrations, followed by the Argo with 6,478, and the Onix with 6,450 registrations.
This closeness is reflected in the final result: from third to fifth place, the total difference was 110 units between Mobi and Onix, with the Argo in the middle of the dispute.
In months like this, small changes in volume tend to alter the order of the ranking.
Volkswagen T-Cross Leads Among SUVs and Crossovers

Among SUVs and crossovers, the Volkswagen T-Cross was the most registered model in February, with 5,667 units.
In the overall ranking, the car finished in sixth place.
Just behind, the Volkswagen Tera closed the month with 5,358 registrations and came in seventh place.
In eighth, the Renault Kwid registered 5,195 units, ending February close to the Tera in volume.
Hyundai completed the top 10 with two models.
The HB20 finished in ninth, with 5,124 registrations, and the Creta appeared in tenth, with 5,045 registrations, according to the survey.
BYD Dolphin Mini Near 5 Thousand and Jeep Compass in Highlight

The BYD Dolphin Mini ranked 11th, with 4,874 registrations, and finished February close to 5,000 units for the first time, according to the published count.
The model ranked ahead of the Jeep Compass, which registered 4,169 units and is in 12th place.
Next, the Chevrolet Tracker took the 13th position, with 4,003 registrations.
The list also included the Fiat Toro, in 14th place, with 3,941 registrations, in addition to Volkswagen Nivus (3,851) and Fiat Fastback (3,833), which closed the month with similar volumes.
Another name in the top 20 was the BYD Song, with 3,702 registrations.
Following that, the Fiat Pulse (3,057) and GWM Haval H6 (3,033) also appeared close in registration numbers.
Toyota Hilux Falls Back and Volkswagen Virtus Leads Among Sedans

The Toyota Hilux finished February with 3,304 registrations and came in 18th place.
According to the same data source, the pickup had been in the top 10 in January but closed the following month outside that group.
Among sedans, the Volkswagen Virtus was the most registered in February, with 2,489 units, ranking 27th in the overall ranking.
The Toyota Corolla registered 2,149 registrations and came in just behind, while the Chevrolet Onix Plus closed with 1,994 units.
The cut to the 50th position also includes the Fiat Cronos (1,856), Hyundai HB20S (1,855), and Honda City (1,058), all listed with similar volumes within their ranges.
Nissan Kait and Omoda 5 in February Ranking

In the mid-range of the ranking, the Nissan Kait registered 1,294 registrations and came in 38th place.
The Omoda 5 appeared in the next spot, with 1,241 units, ahead of the BYD Dolphin, which totaled 1,193 registrations.
Also among the top 50 best sellers are the Renault Kardian (1,122), the Chevrolet Montana (1,066), and the Volkswagen Taos (1,022).
Closing the cut, models like the Citroën Basalt (971), Renault Duster (951), and BYD King (907) appear, according to the survey released by Motor1.
