Starting at 9 AM this Monday (19), the city of São Paulo will host Sudeste Export, a forum that brings together the leading names in the port sector, infrastructure, logistics, and multimodal transport. Over these two days, there will be lectures and panels that will be broadcast via Zoom. Registration for the discussions is free, and you only need to register at the address http://bit.ly/Inscri%C3%A7%C3%B5esSudesteExport to receive the access link and watch.
The event will occur in a hybrid format. A select group of participants will be at Tivoli Mofarrej, in the Paulista Avenue area, from where the panels will be organized and images generated. Some speakers and panelists will participate in person, while others will join remotely via Zoom. The audience will be able to follow everything online. The first day features a technology panel, sponsor presentations, and an opening ceremony, which will include the presence of the National Secretary of Ports and Waterway Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Diogo Piloni.
“The port sector is at the center of the national logistics strategy. It is undergoing transformations, being a constant theme in the Legislative, the Executive, and regulatory agencies, and it is attracting consistent investments. Just to cite a number, the program for the privatization of port areas is expected to attract R$ 10 billion in investment by 2022. This will directly impact not only the sector but also the development of the entire country. That is why we will be gathered to hear from experts and authorities about ways to improve logistics and infrastructure. We are very happy to be the facilitators of these discussions,” says Fabrício Julião, CEO of Fórum Brasil Export and leader of Una Marketing de Eventos, which organizes the forum.

Curatorship
The formatting of these forums involves the fundamental role of the advisors of Brasil Export. There are around 150 personalities of notable expertise in their fields, predominantly in port logistics and foreign trade, who help define the most relevant topics and suggest names to participate in the discussions.
The president of the National Council of Brasil Export is the port consultant José Roberto Campos, one of the leading references in the sector in Brazil and abroad. Commenting on his expectations for the event, Campos recalled the success of the regional editions held so far and emphasized that, at its inception, Fórum Brasil Export was known as Santos Export due to its discussion base being the port of São Paulo’s coastline, the largest port complex in Latin America. He remains optimistic about amplifying this debate to the entire region.
“Sudeste Export will not only be linked to the port of Santos, but also to all the ports of the Southeast, as well as their land and maritime logistics. We will undoubtedly have a high-quality event with many important people participating. Thus, we can gather what we need to do to offer better logistics and understand what solutions this group of specialists can propose to the federal, state, and municipal governments. I am sure it will be another great success,” stated the president of the Council of Brasil Export.
In São Paulo, the host of Sudeste Export will be Henry Robinson, president of the Council of Sudeste Export.
Regional Forums on Logistics and Port Infrastructure
Sudeste Export is one of the regional forums of Brasil Export, which will have a major national meeting on November 23 and 24, in Brasília.
For its part, Fórum Brasil Export is the new format of a previous event that was limited to discussing the issues of the port of Santos and had 17 editions. The vision of Brasil Export, as the name suggests, is to amplify the discussion of infrastructure and port logistics issues across all regions, respecting their local differences and modal specificity. Before the regional forums, 100 live sessions were held between April and September 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alongside this effort, even before the restrictions imposed by COVID-19, Brasil Export became a reference in the sector due to its constant presence in the virtual environment, providing relevant content on its information channels, whether on the website or social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
This is the third regional forum held this year. The other two were Norte Export, on September 28 and 29, in Macapá (AP), and Sul Export, held from October 5 to 6, in Curitiba, Paraná. Two more regional forums are expected to occur this year: Nordeste Export, from October 26 to 27, in Recife (PE); and Centro-Oeste Export, scheduled for November 9 and 10, in Cuiabá (MT).
The mobilization power of the forum can be demonstrated by the participation of 8 out of 9 governors from the North, in addition to authorities, major entrepreneurs, and members of the federal government, such as the National Secretary of Ports and Waterway Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Diogo Piloni.
Brasil Hack Export
As a broad forum for discussions on various aspects of logistics and infrastructure, Fórum Brasil Export also stimulates the creation of new technologies and innovations that contribute to finding solutions for the sector’s needs. To this end, it created Brasil Hack Export, a marathon of hackathons designed to unite the logistics chain with creatives. In each regional meeting of Brasil Hack Export, a stage of this technological marathon is held, proposing a challenge and offering a cash prize for the stage’s winner. The top three are selected for the finals, which take place alongside the National Forum in Brasília.
In the case of the Sudeste stage of Brasil Hack Export, the challenge is centered on railways. The pursued solution aims to improve the efficiency of communication in operations with wagons at Portofer, the company that manages the railway within the port of Santos. The challenge involves the participation of the innovation areas of Rumo, MRS, and VLI.
