The new racing app that rivals Uber and other platforms is called Garupa and has a rigorous hiring system, find out more

Garupa, a racing app that competes for space with giants like Uber and 99, announces a significant change in its hiring model. The company, created in 2017, chose to offer your drivers the possibility of joining the CLT regime, a decision that aims, among other objectives, to put an end to the dreaded dynamic tariff, a practice that often burdens the user.

Initially implemented in Balneário Camboriú (SC), Porto Alegre (RS) and Santa Maria (RS), Garupa's CLT regime offers drivers the choice between maintaining their autonomy as an independent contractor or adhering to a formal contract. For those who opt for CLT, the remuneration includes a fixed salary de R $ 3 thousand, in addition to benefits such as food vouchers, 13th salary and paid vacation, providing hitherto uncommon financial security for application workers.

The company highlights that the selection process for drivers under the CLT regime will be even more careful than that already adopted for self-employed people. In addition to the presentation of criminal background check negative, following legal guidelines, drivers will also undergo a toxicological test. O training on standards company conduct and frequent recycling are an integral part of this new model.

Pillion, regulation and the appreciation of CLT drivers

The current scenario, marked by debates on the regulation of app-based work, influences Garupa's decision. The company that owns the application mentions the Working Group of the Ministry of Labor, responsible for discussing specific legislation for this type of work.

By formalizing its drivers with the CLT model, the company seeks not only to anticipate possible regulations, but also to value its employees. The initiative to implement CLT in the services of the application aims to combat dynamic pricing, a practice considered harmful to the market and users, promoting a more balanced relationship between drivers and passengers.

This movement by Garupa may indicate a growing trend in the transport application sector, where the search for greater financial security and benefits for workers becomes a priority. The impact of this change, both for the company and for drivers, will be closely observed in the dynamic scenario of the app transportation market in Brazil.
