CSN files for initial offering of shares in mining company

Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) announced that it has submitted an application for what is likely to be one of the biggest share offerings of the year, involving its iron ore production operations in Congonhas, in Campo das Vertentes. The IPO request involves the listing of CSN Mineração, one of the largest producers of high quality iron ore in Brazil.

The company stated that the IPO of CSN Mineração will have primary offerings, when the money raised goes to the company's cash, and secondary offerings, due to the shares held by current shareholders.
