The Toyota, globally recognized for its quality and reliability, found an unconventional solution to a significant problem in engines of some of its vehicles. Recently, the automaker announced that it will replace the engines of over 100,000 vehicles for free, in response to defects discovered in its engine assembly line, according to autopapo.

Two months ago, Toyota identified that 3.4-liter V6 engines installed in brand models were contaminated by mechanical debris. This debris, resulting from a poor cleaning of parts during assembly, could cause power loss, operational failures, and even complete engine shutdown. Toyota’s decision was clear and straightforward: instead of attempting complex repairs, it chose to completely replace the affected engines. In total, 102,092 vehicles will be covered by this radical measure, including 98,568 Tundra pickups manufactured between November 2021 and February 2023 and 3,524 Lexus LX 600 produced between July 2021 and November 2022.
