The State University of Maranhão (UEMA) is Now Accepting Applications for Thousands of Vacancies in Free Online EAD Professional Qualification Courses
The State University of Maranhão (UEMA) has 2,600 vacancies in free EAD courses with Initial and Continuing Education (FIC) certificates. Applications will be open until the 17th of next month. The University aims to promote citizens’ entry into the job market through free online EAD professional qualification courses. The vacancies follow the guidelines defined by the National Program for Access to Technical Education and Employment (PRONATEC).

The 2,600 vacancies offered by UEMA are for residents of the following municipalities in Maranhão: Alcântara, Arari, Axixá, Apicum-açu, Barreirinhas, Bequimão, Cantanhede, Cajapió, Humberto de Campos, Itapecuru Mirim, Icatu, Nina Rodrigues, Penalva, Pinheiro, Palmeirândia, Rosário, Santa Rita, São Bento, Santo Amaro do Maranhão, São José de Ribamar, Tutóia, Viana, São Luís, Água Doce do Maranhão, Brejo, Alto Alegre do Pindaré, Buriticupu, Caxias, Carutapera, Chapadinha, Colinas, Duque Bacelar, Coroatá, Governador Edson Lobão, Imperatriz, Governador Nunes Freire, Lago da Pedra, Paraibano Lago do Mato, Santa Inês, Pindaré Mirim, Santa Quitéria, São João do Sóter, Timon, Turiaçu, Zé Doca, and Vitorino Freire.
The course vacancies are distributed among formations for Administrative Assistant, Human Resources Assistant, and Event Receptionist. It is important to note that, for each municipality, 35 vacancies are being made available, with the exception of São Luís and São José de Ribamar, which have 70 vacancies each.

Human Resources Assistant
This administrative assistant course has 910 vacancies available and prepares students to work in an HR department, helping with various administrative processes related to recruitment stages and training new employees.
Event Receptionist
With 840 vacancies, this course prepares participants to work at various types of events, assisting in both execution and promotion as well as planning. The contents of the free online EAD course in Human Resources teach participants how to receive an event by providing information, directing guests to the right location, and handling accreditation.
Administrative Assistant
With 875 vacancies, this training aims to prepare professionals to handle administrative routines such as organizing files, answering phones, preparing reports, creating spreadsheets, and additionally, students will also learn to provide support for activities in HR, logistics, production, finance, and sales.
How to Register for the UEMA Selection Process?
To participate in UEMA’s free online EAD qualification courses, candidates must have completed elementary school (from sixth to ninth grade) and be at least 15 years old. Additionally, having an email and access to the internet are necessary requirements to participate in the courses.
Applications can be made through the official UEMA website. They have been open since the 23rd of this month and will remain open until the 17th of next month. It is worth noting that the university does not charge any fee to participate in the selection process.
To participate in the simplified selection process, documents such as a photo ID, CPF, RG, certificate or diploma of completion of Elementary School, proof of residence in one of the previously mentioned municipalities, and RG and CPF of guardians for candidates under 18 years old will be required. The final results of the selection process will be announced on May 2 of this year, and classes are scheduled to start on the 6th of the month.
