The State University of Ceará (UECE) has released Announcement 06/2024, which regulates the selection process for the 2025.1 entrance exam. A total of 2,850 spots are being offered for regular undergraduate courses, distributed among the campuses in Fortaleza and units in the state’s interior. Purpose of the Entrance Exam and Mode of Instruction
The purpose of the entrance exam is to select candidates for admission to undergraduate courses, providing ongoing education and professional training in areas such as human sciences, exact sciences, biological sciences, and others. The course will be in-person, and approved candidates will have access to a diverse curriculum, with in-person classes and periodic assessments.
Available Spots and Locations
In total, 2,850 spots are offered for the entrance exam, of which 1,262 are designated for courses in Fortaleza and 1,588 for units in the state’s interior. The spots are distributed among different undergraduate courses, covering areas such as health, technology, social sciences, and humanities. The locations include the campuses in Fortaleza, Itapipoca, Crateús, Quixadá, Iguatu, among others.

Selection Process
The selection for the entrance exam will be conducted in two phases. The first phase consists of a general knowledge test, composed of objective multiple-choice questions. The second phase includes an essay test and specific tests according to the course chosen by the candidate. The entrance exam also reserves spots for social and ethnic-racial quotas, as well as for people with disabilities (PwD). The quota system provides for the reservation of 50% of the spots for students from public schools.
Requirements for Registration
To participate in the selection process, the candidate must have completed high school or be in their final year, with the obligation to present the certificate of completion by the registration date. Additionally, it is important that candidates have internet access to follow all stages of the entrance exam, such as registrations and results, as the process is conducted online. The payment of the registration fee is mandatory, except for candidates who obtain a waiver (announcement062024cev).

Selection Process Schedule
The schedule for the selection process starts with the registration period, which runs from September 23 to October 11, 2024. The first phase test, covering general knowledge, will take place on November 17, 2024. The specific tests of the second phase will be held on December 15 and 16, 2024. For candidates in the Music course, the Specific Skills Exam will be applied between November 24 and 29, 2024.
Registrations
Registrations will be open until October 11, 2024, and must be made exclusively on the website of the Executive Committee of the Entrance Exam (CEV) of the State University of UECE.
