The Federal Center for Technological Education Celso Suckow da Fonseca (CEFET/RJ) announces, through Notice 03/2024 – PPEEL/DEPOG/DIPPG/CEFET/RJ, the opening of the selection process for the free master’s degree in electrical engineering.

With up to 15 spots available, this is an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking ongoing education and technical training at a renowned institution. The course will be offered at the Maracanã Campus in Rio de Janeiro, with classes expected to begin in the academic year 2025.

Course Objectives and Study Load

The Master’s in Electrical Engineering aims to train professionals to engage in research and technological development activities. The free course will be taught in-person at the Maracanã Campus, with a total duration of 24 months. Up to 15 spots will be offered for the free master’s degree in electrical engineering, distributed among the program’s research lines. Classes will take place at the Maracanã Campus of CEFET/RJ, located at Av. Maracanã, 229, Rio de Janeiro. This strategic location facilitates student access and promotes greater integration with the academic environment.

Selection Process

The selection process includes reserved spots for affirmative actions, in accordance with current legislation, covering self-declared Black, Brown, Indigenous, Quilombola candidates, and persons with disabilities. The selection will be conducted through curriculum evaluation, title examination, and oral questioning. Candidates meeting the requirements of affirmative policies must provide the necessary documentation as required by the notice.

Application Requirements

To participate in the selection process, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields, recognized by the MEC. It is necessary to submit an updated resume, a letter of intent, and personal documentation. Candidates for affirmative spots must send the required supporting documents specified in the notice. It is recommended to have access to basic technological resources, such as a computer and a stable internet connection.
