UNILAB Announces Selection Process with Hundreds of Home Office Vacancies for Online Course Tutors. Check What Is Required to Participate and Work from Home with Scholarships of R$ 765.00.
Through the Institute of Humanities and Letters (IHL), the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony (UNILAB) announced on Monday (17) the opening of registrations for a selection process for home office vacancies for online course tutors. With the possibility of working from home, they will act in the Improvement Course in Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations: Afro-Brazilian Identities and Africanities in Basic Education.
Main Information About the Positions of Online Course Tutors
The course offered by UNILAB represents an important educational commitment to the improvement of teachers, managers, and coordinators in Basic Education.
The initiative is developed in partnership with the Secretary of Continuing Education, Youth and Adult Literacy, Diversity, and Inclusion (SECADI) and the Ministry of Education, being funded by the National Fund for Educational Development (FNDE).

The selected online course tutors will work from home through the selection process and will receive six scholarships of R$ 765 each, totaling R$ 4,590 for a complete module. The training will take place in the following locations:
- Pole 1: Recôncavo (São Francisco, Candeias, Santo Amaro, Madre de Deus, Cachoeira, Catu).
- Pole 2: Salvador and Metropolitan Region (Lauro de Freitas and Simões Filho)
- Pole 3: Irará and Feira de Santana.
With a total workload of 180 hours, the course will be offered in a hybrid format, lasting six months, from April to October 2025. In-person meetings will take place on Saturdays, in locations defined by the Education Secretariats of each pole.
Those approved in the selection process for home office vacancies will be responsible for participating in the in-person events of the course, organizing the in-person and virtual classrooms, mediating communication between coordination, students, and teachers, supporting the teaching staff in their activities, and monitoring the construction of didactic and pedagogical products.
Main Requirements to Participate in the Selection Process and Work from Home
Regarding the course, it will be structured in six main modules, which are:
- Historical and Sociological Foundations of Ethnic-Racial Issues in Brazil;
- Categories of Ethnic-Racial Relations;
- Racisms and Anti-Racisms;
- Counter-Hegemonic Social Movements;
- Curriculum and Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations;
- Language, Culture, and Anti-Racist Education.
Those interested in the home office vacancies in UNILAB’s selection process must be available to fully participate in the in-person, remote, and field activities, have experience with tutoring in academic activities, monitoring or similar academic activities, have completed a undergraduate degree or be in the final year of graduation in the Human Sciences, and not be receiving any other scholarship from the Ministry of Education (MEC).
It is also essential to have computer skills to handle virtual meetings (room mediation, attendance lists, chat, visual records, among others), text formatting, use of Google Drive, and other necessary tools for the course, and to be available to participate in planning meetings called by the coordination, among others.

Registration for the selection process for online course tutors to work from home is completely free and must be done exclusively through the electronic form available until April 4, 2025. The selection process for home office vacancies will be conducted in only one phase, corresponding to the analysis of the documentation described in the announcement.
Applicants must attach documents such as Availability Form to Work in the Course, Proof of Education, Official Personal Documentation (ID, Driver’s License, Passport, Resident Registration) and Updated Lattes Curriculum. The preliminary result will be announced on the website of the Institute of Humanities and Letters of UNILAB, following the schedule outlined in the Announcement (March 26).
