The Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) opened registrations for the selection process of the free online (EAD) graduate courses, according to Notice 01/2025 – UFPE Selection Process – EAD|UAB 2025.1. The courses are part of the Open University of Brazil (UAB) Program and offer training opportunities in various professional fields. A total of 925 spots are being made available, distributed across several physical support centers in the state of Pernambuco.
The free online (EAD) graduate courses offered by the Federal University-UFPE aim to promote continuing education and specialization in areas such as Libras Teaching, Quilombola School Education, and School Management. The format will be predominantly remote, but there will be connected in-person activities that will use communication technologies for synchronous moments. Each course has a varied workload, according to its pedagogical planning, and students participate in virtual classes, discussion forums, thematic seminars, and periodic assessments.

The free online (EAD) graduate courses total 925 spots, distributed across physical support centers throughout the state of Pernambuco. For example, the Libras Teaching course will be offered in Carpina, Caruaru, Cedro, Limoeiro, Pesqueira, Petrolina, and Recife, totaling 150 openings. The specialization in Law, Management, and Public Governance will have centers in Arcoverde, Caruaru, Ouricuri, Recife, Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, Sertânia, and Vitória de Santo Antão, with a total of 175 openings.

Process and Quotas
The selection process will be conducted through curriculum analysis and divided into four groups: teachers of basic education from the public network (Group 1), managers and professionals from public education (Group 2), public agents (Group 3), and general competition (Group 4). Candidates who work in quilombola schools or with quilombola communities have priority in the Quilombola School Education course.
Application Requirements
To participate, candidates must have completed higher education, according to the criteria established for each course. It is necessary to present documents such as diploma, ID, CPF, proof of residence, and documents that confirm the classification in the chosen group. Those who do not present all the documents will be automatically disqualified.
